Trenton Luera answers whether attending a private or public high school is better for getting recruited to play college football. He advises that the choice depends on the specific school — its history of putting players into college programs and level of competition — rather than simply whether it is public or private. The clip also includes an offer for a free spreadsheet of 6,000+ college coaches' emails and a plug for his newsletter.

So if you're in high school playing football right now and you're wondering, okay, I want to get recruited, what is the best school for that? A private school or a public school? I'm going to answer that question. But first, before we dive in, if you want a free spreadsheet of 6000 plus college coaches emails, all you have to do is DM me the word email on Instagram, I'll send it to you for free. This is actually a question I got from one of the subscribers in my newsletter. If you want to join, then just use the link in my bio or send me emails and I'll get you added to that. So the answer I gave them is it just really depends on the school. I mean, because you can take a ton of examples. I mean, private schools like St John Bosco, modern day, all the schools in the Trinity League, all obviously they're studs, like top schools in the nation. But then I can think of small private schools over near me in Fresno, California or even schools in smaller areas. And yeah, they're private schools, but they get no looks, they play lesser competition. And then you can even compare that to there's plenty of big public schools out in Texas, out in California that get plenty of traction. So ultimately it just depends on the school. Like the thing you shouldn't be looking at is whether it's public or private. What you should be looking at is, okay, who have they put in the past?
