I'm going to tell you the complete reality of going through the recruiting process and what makes it so frustrating, but also why you can't really change the frustrating aspects of it. And it's coming from someone who went through the recruiting process themselves. I help other recruits and families go through the recruiting process and it's just a fact. I'm sharing with you the unfiltered truth. I'm not sugarcoating it. I'm not telling you anything else. I'm just telling you the straight up truth of what I've been through, out of what I've seen other families go through. And the biggest reality that I try to share as much as possible is just shit happens. And excuse my language if you're not a big fan of that. But just stuff happens all the time. Time in recruiting, whether it's coaching changes, you get ghosted, you get hurt, your coach changes like four freaking times. Politics at high school, it doesn't matter. Just things happen. Whether it's on the field, off the field and things, you can feel like you have such a good sense of direction going in your senior year, you're talking to a bunch of different coaches. You feel like three or four of them have a great relationship. You're like, dude, if I don't get an offer, this is dumb. Next thing you know, you get ghosted by two by the middle of your senior year.
