Short YouTube advice clip by Trenton Luera (uploaded March 30, 2024) giving practical tips on how high-school/aspiring college football players can improve their chances of being recruited. The speaker emphasizes that college coaches are primarily focused on winning and have limited time for recruiting, so recruits should "make it easy" for coaches by sending short messages, including highlight links, concise highlights, and otherwise reducing coaches' work. The clip also includes a call-to-action offering a free spreadsheet of 6,000+ college coaches' emails via Instagram DM.

These are the three things that you need to do in your recruiting process to get college coaches interested in you. And the thing is, you need to do all three things. If you're missing one, then none of it's gonna work. And this could be the reason why you're getting no responses or minimal responses by college coaches. Also, if you want a free spreadsheet of 6000 plus college coaches emails, all you have to do is DM me the word email on Instagram, I'll send it to you for free. Number one, and this is huge, is you need to make it easy for college coaches. Contrary to popular belief, a college coach's job isn't to solely recruit or just watch endless video of college coaches. Their job is to win football games, period. And so, yes. Does recruiting help with that? Yeah, that's a little bit of a portion. But most of the time they're spent, you know, prepping game plans, watching film, going through practice, in meetings. So the time for recruiting, especially at smaller schools, is spent to bare minimum. So what can you do to help and increase your chances of getting recruited? Just make it really easy for them. Every little piece in the recruiting process that you can personally do, try to make it as easy as possible for them. Shorter messages, include your link. Your highlights should be shorter. Saving them.
