So it all started at the end of my junior year. A coach came by our school, talked.
To me and a couple other guys.
On my team, just telling us about the program, getting to meet us in person. I stayed in touch with this coach throughout my senior season. I wrapped up my senior year and they were still interested in me, so they invited me out on a visit. The visit wasn't until January, but as.
You guys know, coaches start coming by schools as they wrap up their seasons because they need to finish out the class of 24, especially for small schools like this because they have to worry about about class to class. So it was early December. The coach pretty much had everything with a visit dialed in for me. Now the school was in Iowa, very far away, so the fact that the coach even came out there in the spring was pretty amazing to me. Being a small school and then they were bringing up another coach to come into the west Coast. This coach wasn't the coach that I built a relationship. I'd never talked to him before, so there really wasn't much communication prior other than the coach that I was talking to. And he was just like, oh yeah, so. And so coach, he's going to come by on this day. Cool. Sounds good to me. So one day before the coaches.
