Short excerpt from a February 2024 YouTube video by Trenton Luera discussing whether detailed football recruiting strategies transfer to other sports (soccer, baseball). Speaker says yes: the methods apply and may give an advantage in less-competitive sports, notes personal experience with baseball recruiting, and that he does not personally work with athletes from other sports.

So I got this question about, does this work for soccer? And I'm just gonna apply this to every other sport because I only talk about football recruiting because that's the experience I've had. Though I did play baseball up until about my senior year, and so I went through the recruiting process for that, and I had a lot of friends that got recruited to play baseball. So I understand how that process works. Can't say that, you know, I know exactly how it works. But to answer the question, does this work for soccer or other sports? Yes, it does. Now, I go into a lot of nuances within the football world as far as the games that can be played. It's just. It's a lot more competitive than any other sport, easily just the amount of media attention and everything that goes on within it. So if anything, if you apply this stuff to other sports, you'll probably kill everybody else in recruiting because of how much detail I go into things, because you have to be that detailed in football, but the people that are that detailed in other Sports is probably 0.1% of 0.1%. So it does work. I have people following me on Twitter that do the same things, and they tell me that it works for other other sports, but I don't work with anybody from other sports.
