Should you be playing 7 on 7? A lot of people will tell you that it's a waste of time, that you shouldn't even be spending any time or money even doing that as a quarterback. In my opinion, it's actually worth doing as long as you play a skilled position and you're on a pretty solid team now. Don't go crazy with it. Don't, you know, think that's your whole career that's going to change your entire recruiting and everything. For me, it completely changed my trajectory of my football career. Before my junior year, I was pretty much primarily baseball. During the spring was obviously baseball season. During the fall, I mean, I would still play fall ball during the summer, I mean, I would go to football workouts, obviously do everything I had to, but then also try to play baseball with that. But then going to my junior year, I decided to put a lot more focus into football. And so one of the big things I did was during that spring I started to play 7 on 7. I joined a competitive 7 on 7 team in my area, which is Central Valley, California. Over in Fresno, I played for a team called DB Guru. Now, to my knowledge, they don't exist anymore, which is kind of sad. They were a big legacy team in the area and had a lot a high level.
