If you're trying to get started with the recruiting process, but you're not too sure if you're too early, these are the bare minimum requirements you should have before even thinking about getting recruited by college coaches. If you don't know who I am, I'm Trenton Loire. I'm a former college quarterback at Morningside University. Now, I help recruits just like you get recruited. The number one requirement you need is at least some kind of film. Now, it's totally fine if it's JV film, Even freshman film is fine. But ultimately, if you don't have video proof of yourself, there's no reason to send emails or send DMs to college coaches or go on Twitter because you don't really have anything to show to coaches. And that includes like workout clips. Don't really like they're good additions to actual in game film. Now, again, it doesn't need to be varsity film. I was personally able to get D1 interest from coaches just based off of JV film. But you do need some kind of in game film. So that's requirement number one. Number two, you need to have at least close to varsity level talent. And now what? I mean, this can depend person to person, because again, I started my recruiting process out of my sophomore year and I was on jv, but I went to.
