Trenton Luera (YouTube creator) gives short-form advice for high-school football players on why college coaches may not respond and how to fix that to earn scholarships. In this chunk he offers a free spreadsheet of 6,000+ college coach emails and covers the first major reason for no responses: poor highlight film — advice includes ordering plays from best to worst, ensuring first five plays are the strongest, and keeping the video engaging in the first 30–60 seconds.

If you're reaching out to college coaches and you're not able to get any responses, it's because of one of three reasons. I'm going to break down each one in this video. What you can do to fix it so that we can start getting the responses from college coaches and ultimately get college football scholarships. But first, before we dive in, if you want a free spreadsheet of 6000 plus college coaches emails, all you have to do is DM me the word email on Instagram and I'll send it to you for free. Or you can even go up into the bio and just click the link there. So the number one issue that's going to cause you not to get responses from college coaches is not having good film. First off, you just need to make sure the ordering is right. You need to make sure your first five plays are absolutely fire. It should be your best play first. Second play should be your second best. Third best. Third play. Your third best play. Just order it from best to worst and don't worry about the link too much. If it's two minutes long, that's totally fine. Ultimately they're only going to watch the first 30 seconds to a minute, but you need to make sure you're grabbing their attention and making them want to actually get you on their team. If you're not showing actual highlights on there, then they're just going to pass up on you and go to someone else and they're not going to give you the time of day. So make sure your film is good and it looks right. The second thing that's causing you not to get responses from college campus.
