Short video/audio by Trenton Luera advising athletes/families to expand their college recruiting target list ("cast a bigger net") to increase scholarship offers and find a better campus fit. The creator compares recruiting to fishing, critiques narrow targeting (only a few nearby Power Five schools), and promises a free spreadsheet of 6,000+ college coaches' emails via Instagram DM.

Doing this one thing will 10x your recruiting, ultimately getting you more scholarship offers, more interest and landing you at a better fit for you. So that way you can kill it when you get there on campus. But before we dive into that, if you want a free spreadsheet of 6000 plus college coaches emails, all you have to do is DM me the word email on Instagram, I'll send it to you for free. But this one thing is what I call casting a bigger net. I compare recruiting a lot to fishing and cast out a lot of lures. You're going to go fish for coaches in school. And the issue that I see with a lot of families is they start too small most of the time they think that they're a little bit better than they actually are are and that the local schools really, really want them. So they're thinking like power five top power five schools within like a four hour radius, which is like five, ten schools. They think, oh, we're just gonna, you know, message those schools, we're gonna get in touch with those coaches and that's gonna be pretty much it. Acting like that's exactly what they even want in the first place. Even though they haven't even talked to those coaches, been on the campus, see what that kind of experience is like. Instead you should cast a bigger net than that. And what I mean is ultimately just targeting more schools because the issue is most familiar with.
