A short YouTube coaching clip (creator: Trenton Luera) explaining how to structure a high-school football highlight film to attract college coaches. Advice: list your football strengths, order them from most to least important for your position, find plays that showcase each strength, and assemble the highlight video in that same order (with role-specific examples like receivers and offensive linemen).

Tweak your high school Highlight Film to 3x your interest from college coaches. The first thing you're going to need to do is find your strengths and then order them from first to last. So what I mean by that is think about everything that you're good at. If you are great with your hands and you're great at catching, then that's going to be your first strength that you're going to have in that order. And then maybe you're really fast, so then that's going to be your second one. You're going to want to make sure to order it correctly. So that's example for receivers, but for offensive linemen, it might be, hey, I'm really strong, so my first is going to be me, you know, exploding someone off of that first block. So now you're going to want to do that for yourself first and get a second opinion if you have to. Now, using that list, you're going to want to find plays that match that strength and showcase that. Now, you basically have an outline of how your highlight video should look like now. So using that list of strengths and the plays that you have that are tied in with those strengths, you can order your highlight video in that order. So again, going back to that example of the receiver, let's say catching is your number one strength. So you have three clips of just some great catches showcasing your hands. You're going to want to put those.
