A short YouTube commentary advising high-school football recruits to front-load their highlight tapes with their best plays because college coaches (who often only watch the first 30–60 seconds) will skip a tape if the opening plays are weak. It emphasizes prioritizing top plays in order and re-editing existing tapes to increase chances of coach engagement.

Done gatekeeping. This one thing is stopping your DMs from getting responded to by college coaches. It's honestly because your highlights suck. I was just on the Twitter space the other day and listening to the director of player personnel at UNLV and he mentioned that pretty much his job is just evaluating recruits film. So he's constantly in his DMs and he pretty much sees any DMs that come in. And now of course things like measurables will help you stand out and he will be more apt to check out your film. But with anybody's film that he checks out, if he's not liking that first play, he immediately just goes on to the next kid and at most he's watching the first first minute. Maybe most of the time he's just watching that first 30 seconds. So what does that mean to you? You have to make sure that your best plays are first. Don't try to have a bunch of variety, don't try to save some for later. It's a highlight tape and coaches only have a limited amount of time. You have to put your very best play first, your second best play second, and your third best play third. Otherwise you're going to miss out on a lot of different opportunities. So hopefully this is your oh shoot moment. You're going back in your highlights, redoing them, fixing up so that we can get more eyes on them and.
