Trent Lore (former college quarterback) describes how he attracted Division I recruiting interest despite only having JV game film. He explains that he began recruiting late (going into junior year), participated in 7-on-7 play and camps (including a San Jose State camp and junior day), and promoted a free spreadsheet of 6,000+ college coaches' emails available via his bio. The video mixes personal narrative with practical recruiting advice.

The story of exactly how I got D1 interest from JV Film. Now, many of you may think you can't get recruited off of JV film. That's completely wrong. I'm not saying you're going to get a scholarship, but this is exactly how I got interest from a D1 school despite having JV film. If you don't know who I am, I'm Trent Lore. I'm a former college quarterback and now I help recruits just like you do the same. And also, if you want a free spreadsheet with 6,000 plus college coaches emails, all you have to do is go to my bio, there's a link there, just click that and I'll give you the spreadsheet with 6,000 plus college coaches emails for free. Let's dive in. So I didn't start my recruiting process until I was going into my junior year and I wasn't a standout quarter. I wasn't on varsity my sophomore sophomore year. I played jv. So I wasn't really too worried about getting recruited because like most of you, I probably thought, you know, JV film doesn't really matter, it's not going to do anything. Eventually I finally put together my tape, started sending it out to some coaches, and on top of that I joined a 7 on 7 team, really good one in the local area, which started to push me in the right direction for what to do recruiting wise. And so one of the camps I went to was this camp behind me, the San Jose State camp. And even before that I went to their junior day. So I got to meet some of the coaches ahead of time. It was a great experience. It was great getting to start that process, start talking to coaches, get used to.
