A short YouTube guide (by Trent Lohr, former Morningside University QB) explaining step-by-step how high school football recruits can increase the chance college coaches watch their highlight film. Main advice: make film as easy to access as possible (post on X/Twitter, include Huddle link in bio, pin a clip, screen-record for native playback) and proactively DM coaches with short, direct messages.

This is the step by step guide on how to get your highlights seen more by college coaches to increase the chances that you get a college football scholarship. If you don't know who I am, I'm Trent Lohr. I'm a former college quarterback at Morningside University and now I help recruits get college football scholarships. So the key to getting your highlights seen more by college coaches is trying to make it as easy as possible for college coaches to watch your film. The place where most college coaches are is X or Twitter. So you're going to want to make sure to create a profile over there, make sure it looks clean, make sure that you have your Huddle link in in the bio as well as if you can screen record your highlights and then post it and make your pinned tweet, that's probably the best way. That way coaches don't have to go to Huddle, they can just watch it right there on Twitter, don't have to leave the platform and it makes it super easy for them. On top of that, you can go next extra step and start reaching out to coaches directly to try and get your highlights in front of them. Because yeah, you can post on Twitter, but most likely the algorithm isn't going to take it to every single college coach. Instead you can just hand deliver it to them. So the goal with these DMs when reaching out to coaches isn't to sell them throughout the dm. It's just to make it short and concise and make sure that they see.
