Short advice video (by Trenton Luera) explaining the number-one reason college coaches stop replying: they often forget about lower-priority recruits because they focus on their top 3–10 prospects at each position. The speaker advises athletes not to take it personally and to keep reaching out and reminding coaches they remain interested and available to increase chances of a scholarship or preferred walk‑on offer.

The number one reason why you're getting ghosted by college coaches and how you can prevent it. In this quick video, I'm going to share with you exactly why you're getting ghosted. How to stop it so that way you never get ghosted again and that way get closer to getting an actual scholarship offer. So be sure to drop a follow because it's going to be a banger. Number one reason why you're getting ghosted is because coaches are just forgetting about you. Plain and simple. It's not because they hate you. It's not because they don't like you. It's not because they don't want to recruit you anymore. It's just because they forgot you. They have plenty and plenty of kids to recruit. And, and this thing is, especially at the D1 level, they're really just focusing on the top half of guys. Not even the top half, just the top part of their board. The top three to five to maybe 10 at their position. So if you're not that, it's not that you can't get a scholarship offer or get a preferred walk on, it's just that, you know, hey, they're worrying about those kids and maybe they get to you later or maybe they just forget about you. So instead of getting all butt hurt or getting caught up in your feelings about some coach forgetting about you and not responding back to your one or two messages, instead continually try to reach out to them. Try to get a response. Try to remind them that you're still there. Believe me, most coaches understand their goals.
