Short YouTube video by Trenton Luera (Feb 6, 2024) that uses a fishing analogy to explain how to increase interest in college football scholarship offers: casting a wider net (ocean) reaches many more potential contacts than fishing in a small pond. The video also offers a free spreadsheet of 6,000+ college coaches' emails available via Instagram DM.

So you can use fishing to increase the amount of interest in scholarship offers that you get. If you're trying to play college football, you're going to want to watch till the end. First, if you want a free spreadsheet with 6000 plus college coaches emails, all you have to do is DM me the word emails on Instagram and I'll send it to you for free. Recruiting is just like fishing. And what I mean by that is when you fish, you cast out your lure into whatever body of water. Say in this example, you're just in a little tiny pond and let's say there's maybe 50 fish max. Now, you think you're doing a great job because it's a small, little tiny body water. There's not a ton of fish in there, but you know there's some fish and you've caught a couple fish there before and you feel like it's the right fish for you. You end up catching 10% of the fish, maybe let's say 5 of those fish, because you know you had the right lure. You knew exactly what the fish were and what they were looking for. You did a great job setting it up so you catch five of those fish in that small little pond of 50 fish. But then let's say in the other example you go out and fish in an ocean. Now in this example though, let's say there's 800 plus fish out there in this ocean. It may feel bigger, it may feel wider and more scary, but you're casting your lure out to way more.
