This is exactly how college football recruiting actually works. First, if you want a free spreadsheet with 6,000 plus college coaches, emails DM me the word college and I'll send it to you for free. The first thing you need to realize is the scholarships. Everybody dreams of the full ride. Reality is, it's actually extremely rare. Now at the FBS level which is Power five Groupify, they do only offer full ride scholarships. But below that, at the FCS level, D2 level, D3 level and NAI level they do not offer full ride scholarships all the time. They have limited scholarships and usually only offer partial. So if you're getting a full ride at one of those programs then you should consider yourself extremely lucky and consider that program a lot more than others. Also side note, D3 schools do not offer athletic scholarships so oftentimes you're going to have to pay a lot out of pocket to go there. Now with most of those programs offering partial scholarship, grades become a big factor in recruiting because when getting offered a partial scholarship, the athletic scholarship is only going to go so far. The rest is going to be covered by academics and needs based. So if your grades are really high then you qualify for a larger academic.
