So in recruiting, one of the big things that everybody knows is making sure to post your offers. But how do you actually post your offers? And when should you actually post your offers? So let's talk about that today. And if you don't know who I am, I'm Trent Lower. I'm a former college quarterback. I know we're in your first scholarship, but we help families get their first scholarship and more. And so first off, like, you need to post your offers, but the overall, like, some people ask about the caption, the pictures. That doesn't matter as much. As much as you need to make sure to post it and then tag other people in it. I feel like it's a big piece that people miss. So. Because, like, it's cool if you get an offer, but if nobody sees it, then did it really happen? And now some people will say, like, oh, posting of offers, it's dumb. You shouldn't do it. I think everybody at this point is pretty much along the lines, like, you need to do it because it's this stamp of approval that somebody has been like, okay, we are going to give you a scholarship offer. And now that you post that out there, other coaches see it and they recognize, like, hey, this guy now has that verified kind of that blue check in a way of like, another program is investing into this guy. That means that you're able to play at whatever level you got offered at. And so it. It's really as simple as that. And then on top of that, you know, the coaching staff that you just got offered by knows that you're amped to get the offer because some people may be like, oh, you don't, you know, you post the offer, then it looks like you're not really, like accepting it. But if anything, you posting the offer, especially now with just how common it is, shows that you appreciate that offer and you're excited to do it. I mean, most programs will give you a graphic to post when you get an offer because they know, hey, this is brand awareness for our program. We're stoked to have you and we want you to be stoked to have us as a, as a just a program that is interested in having it. And so definitely make sure to post it. The caption doesn't matter as much. Just say whatever you want to say and then make sure you tag local rut or people that are going to support and like and repost your post. That way you can see more people and more coaches will hopefully come across it now when to post it. I mean, I'D say post immediately, but like depending on the offer. And so this is something that I'm still thinking through and something that I posted about before on other sites and talked about. But you don't necessarily need to post every single offer. I think you, you generally can. But for example, if you are wanting to be a Division 1 guy, I don't think it makes sense to post, for example, prep school or juco offers because that indicates to other coaches that, okay, why is this guy posting juco in prep school offers? It looks a little weird, out of place. And it's not necessarily that like jucos or prep schools are bad. I went to juco. I am not hanging on jucos. But if you're going to be a Division 1 guy, then it makes no sense to post those offers. Same with D3 offers or D2 offers. Like, it doesn't make as much sense to post those. And so you could get technically traction from posting those offers and get a lot of views and eyes. But most of the time if a D1 coach comes across that they're not going to be looking at your D3 posts and go, wow, we need to recruit this guy. If anything, they look at the post and go, oh, good for him. But he's probably not our kind of guy if he's a D3 guy, you know, and it just becomes this much harder barrier to kind of break because now you're almost solidified at this area. You might get more attention from a couple other schools or maybe you might get some D2 checking you out now because you got a D3 offer. But it's not going to just instantly jump up. And so it becomes this hard thing of like, do you post every offer? Do you only post certain offers? And it's hard to get into the mind of every single coach and pick the decision that's going to get you the most, you know, higher elevated views and more offers in the future. So it's really up to your discretion. But I will say that, you know, generally speaking, depending on where you want to play, you only want to post offers from one division below that kind of area. And so for me, like, I don't think I ever posted any Division 3 offers. I think I did, I did. When I first got my first Division 3 offer, I did post it because that was my first offer and I was just getting things out there. But after that I didn't post anything like that. I posted, I believe two of my NA offers didn't post any of the other ones after that. And Then once I got to Juco, I didn't post any of my offers except one D2 that I got. And that to me was just kind of because, like, I used it as a way to get my name out there more so pick up some traction, get some following. But I never really used it as like a point of leverage. Like, it was just really more so like an exposure method to me, much rather than a. Like, this is gonna get me a D1 scholarship or anything like that. So it just depends on how you want to leverage it. I think that, you know, you always have the offers in your back pocket. So, like, I would always bring up that offers or interest or attention or whatever. And coaches don't really know. So I'd be more specific about what offers I had, where I talked to and everything like that. So that way it could pretty much verify that in their mind. But it just depends. And so I will say I've heard coaches even say that, like, hey, if you get an offer from this school, like, basically we're not recruiting you. So there's that at hand again. But it's hard to get inside the mind of every single college coach and go, okay, is this school that kind of school to all these coaches? And it might necessarily not be. And I think it's a dumb way for a coach to think anyway. But it's just things that I've heard from coaches before. So take the antidote as you will, but I want to keep this short and super actionable. You know, pretty much you should be posting every single offer. I think that generally once you get to a certain division, you know, if you're pretty much a D2 guy, it doesn't make sense to post D3 offers or NA offers to an extent, but generally it will help. It'll bring more attention to you. It just depends on, from a psycho, a psychological standpoint, do you get framed as that kind of division level? Does it make it too hard for you to climb up out of that? You know, it's really up to the discretion of the coaches that come across you and how much they really you're able to catch their attention. And that also comes down to, like, making sure your Twitter bio is there and your highlights are easy access. So that way if you do catch the right coach's attention, he's like, hey, maybe this guy might be right for us. Does your bio stand up to them? Does your highlights grab them right from the start because they're not going to take extra time to check out a D2 recruit? As a D1 coach if they don't see anything in the first 30 seconds that grabs their attention and so it does relate a lot back to that. But with that being said, make sure to post your offers. Don't think too much about the caption, the post and all that. Just put it together, tag the people that are going to put it out there even more, and then let it rock. So hopefully this helped. If you got something from this, be sure to like and subscribe. I'll see you in the next one. Peace.
