I'll start reaching out to coaches my senior year. I have time. I started the process my junior year. I should have started sooner. I started my sophomore year. That gave me 18 months to build relationships before I had to make a decision. I sent like 5 generic emails. Coach, I'm pretty interested in your program. I emailed maybe 30 schools and I followed up whenever I remembered. I targeted 100 schools and followed up at least 3 times. Every email I sent included 3 things: my most recent highlights, 3 of my most impressive stats like my yards, 40 time, height, and weight, And a question that gave the coach a reason to respond, like, are you still recruiting 2027 quarterbacks? Coach called me once. I had no clue what to say, and I never heard from him again. I had a few calls with coaches. I talked about what I liked about their programs. The calls went okay. I had 5 questions written down before every call. I asked about player development, playing time, academics, team culture, and what they were looking for at my position. How do I even start? I wish I knew this earlier. Comment scout for a full list of college football coaches' contact information so you can get recruited like I did.
