Exactly how I got in touch with a Division 1 college coach for the first time. First look at me. That was me my junior year. Just a young little buck. Yet still, despite that, I was eventually able to start talking to Division 1 coaches. And this just wasn't from me going to some camp and going up to them and shaking their hands. I'm talking about real relationships that I built with college coaches. And this is a story of the first time that I did talk to one. Now before this, I really wasn't that great of a football player. My seventh and eighth grade year I mostly was on JV my freshman year. I finally got shot and started getting some good flame times. Then was on JV my sophomore year. I even had a quarterback the same class as me who was ahead of me starting on varsity as a sophomore pretty much at that point I was written off. But despite that, I still wanted to get recruited, play college football and still believed in myself most importantly. Now back to recruiting. I really didn't know how to get recruited. I was fortunate enough to get a quarterback coach going into my sophomore year that was extremely talented. He had played at the D2 at FCS level and even gone to play in the CFL a little bit. Through this time he was teaching me a lot of the quarterback drills and how to throw.
