Here's why you need to make a JV highlight tape. I always get questions about hey, is it too early in the process? Even if I'm on jv, should I still be putting myself out there recruiting wise? The answer is yes, absolutely, 100%. I didn't start playing varsity till my junior year and so my sophomore year I was on JV and still made a highlight tape. Going into my junior year I went to camps, exposed myself to college coaches, and at one camp a coach even pulled me aside and said, hey man, why watch your JV highlight? We love it. We just need to see more film from your varsity. And the thing is, if I never created that JV highlight and put it out to the college coaches, I never would have even got that kind of interest before. So the point is, you never know what's going to happen or who's going to take a liking to your film, even if it's jv. So be sure to put together a JV highlight and still put it out to college coaches. You just never know what's going to happen.
