If you think recruiting is all about stars and rankings, then you're completely wrong. Here are the three things that recruiting really is and this is coming from someone who received 25 plus college football scholarships and talked to hundreds of college coaches. The first thing recruiting is is relationships. Recruiting is all about relationships. When a coach offers you, they're offering you to spend the next four to five years with them. So you have to make sure to build relationships with college coaches. The next thing recruiting is is marketing. You have to learn to market yourself because if college coaches don't know who you are, then how are you supposed to get offers in the first place? The last and third thing is negotiation. Now a lot of people don't know this, but if you're getting offered by FCs or below schools, then most likely you're not getting a full ride scholarship. So you need to learn how to negotiate to get better scholarship money. Now if you're freaking out because you don't know how any of these things work, then you need to learn now because this is how you get ahead of every other recruit. So be sure to follow for more recruiting tips like this.
