Short YouTube video by Trenton Luera giving three main reasons aspiring college football players aren't getting recruited: (1) poor highlight reels that don't showcase their best play, (2) insufficient exposure/marketing to college coaches (via Twitter, email, questionnaires, camps), and (3) (mentioned but not shown in this chunk). The speaker draws on personal experience of receiving 25+ scholarship offers and talking with hundreds of college coaches.

If you're trying to get recruited to play college football but not getting the attention of college coaches, here are the three reasons why. I've gone through the recruiting process myself. I talked to hundreds of college coaches and received 25 plus scholarship offers. And today I'm going to share with you the three reasons why you're not getting recruited as much as you like to. The number one reason I see is because your highlights are not good enough. I'm not even talking about your peer talent. I'm just talking about what you show on film. Because you may be a lot better than you show on film, but how's a college coach even supposed to know that in the first place? So you need to make sure that on your highlights you're showing yourself at your best. And if you just don't have the highlights at the moment, you need to be understanding that, hey, I'm not going to be able to get as recruited as I want to off of this. Reason number two is because you're not exposing yourself to college coaches enough. And by exposing, I mean marketing yourself, just ultimately getting known by college coaches because you can have the best highlights in the world. But if college coaches aren't even able to watch them in the first place, then how are they supposed to be able to recruit you and offer you now you can expose yourself to college coaches in a lot of different ways. Twitter, email, questionnaires, camps. All great ways to get started by getting yourself known to college.
