Short YouTube monologue by Trent (a former college quarterback) advising athletes that film matters more than raw stats in college football recruiting. He argues that impressive statistics alone won't guarantee recruiting interest if the player's game film doesn't reflect comparable ability, and offers a free spreadsheet of 6,000+ college coaches' emails via a bio link.

This one realization made me get multiple scholarship offers without playing a bunch of games and getting a bunch of impressive stats. Also, if you want a free spreadsheet 6,000 plus college coaches emails, then all you have to do is click the link in my bio and you get it for free. So one realization I had is that it's film over stats. This is the one thing that a lot of people get wrong. Everybody knows that film is very important, that you need it, and that you need to show to college coaches. But everyone thinks that the guy with 2,000 plus rushing yards and 4,000 plus passing yards is going to get recruited over everybody else. That's definitely not wrong. Usually those guys will get recruited because they are really good players. But you do see guys in plenty of areas that have impressive stats, yet they don't get recruited as high or in general as much as you'd like to think. And the whole thing behind this is because ultimately their film probably doesn't look that impressive. If your film does is not matching with your stats, that raises a red flag. And also your film is ultimately what's going to get recruited because then you see what competition that you're playing, how you look on.
