One random morning at about 8am, I groggily opened up my eyes to the sound of my phone ringing. Now, this person wasn't in my contacts, but it was November, meaning college coaches could be calling. So I answer the phone and on the other side of here, hey, Trenton, this is Coach so and so. How's it going? Immediately, my adrenaline picked up and woke me up right away. Hey, Coach. And that's what I said immediately. So the coach ended up explaining to me that I'd been on their board for a while and that they just talked to my head coach and now they were offering me a scholarship offer. And this was completely out of the blue. I'd never even heard of this school. I had even talked to any of the coaches from the school. Wasn't even anywhere on my radar. And it's just another amazing and random reminder that you never know where your offer is going to come from. But this also didn't come from nowhere. This coach had been following me for a while because he found me elsewhere before. Now, I'm not 100% certain where, but I can guess that it was Twitter. I mean, it's where 90% of college football recruiting happens. So this offer didn't happen overnight. It came from months of behind the scenes effort because recruiting is something where it looks like nothing.
