Trenton Luera delivers a short motivational message (greenscreen YouTube clip) arguing that the biggest mindset flaw is fear of taking risks. While framed around college football and recruiting, he generalizes the point to life choices — urging viewers to take interpersonal and career risks (e.g., contact coaches, choose opportunities) to avoid future regret and build confidence.

The number one piece of your mindset that's stopping you from accomplishing the things that you want in your life. For this video, I'm mostly talking about college football and recruiting. But this applies to the rest of your life. It's being scared to take risks. Now you may be thinking, Trenton, what are you talking about? I'm a risk taker. I go on the field every single day, I go and tackle, I hit hard, I run hard, I bet on myself a bunch. I'm working all hard in the off season, all this and that. Are you taking enough risk off the field? Because a risk doesn't mean have to add something into your life or go and do something. It's also not doing something. You're taking the risk of missing out on fun opportunities with their friends just to stay and study more or go and work out more. Are taking risks with recruiting and reaching out to coaches even though, hey, you might be scared to talk to them over the phone because at the end of the day risk taking isn't that scary. Would you rather not take that risk and regret not taking it or you end up succeeding in that risk and it works out or it fails and hey, at least you got a cool story out of it. I way rather take that risk and let it not work out but still have that cool story and have the confidence to know, hey, I took that risk, I can take it again and I know it's not going to be that bad. Then.
