Tyson Smith breaks down Robert Greene's 20th law of power: don't commit to any person or idea too early. Instead, watch from the sidelines, spot the winning side, then join it. This keeps you on the right side of power without wasting energy on losing battles.
Do not commit to anyone is the 20th law in The 48 Laws of Power. Robert Greene warns readers that by committing to a particular person, idea, or political party can actually be detrimental to gaining and maintaining power. Instead, you need to watch carefully from the sidelines until you know exactly which side is going to win, and then you join forces with them. When you do this, not only will you always be in the right, but you also don't have to waste your energy meddling in the affairs of others.
