Here's why I bought my Rolex Submariner. In May of 2021, I had closed my first deal that made me over $100,000. And to celebrate, I wanted to go buy a watch. I went to the Rolex store and was super excited to buy a watch. And they told me, "Hey, that's not how this works. You gotta get on a waiting list." I had no idea. It turns out in the middle of the pandemic, there was still a shortage of luxury watches. So I went down the street to a used dealer and found this watch. Ended up paying $13,900 for it. Is this a good investment? Was it a good use of money? I don't know. Whether or not this watch was a good investment or not doesn't really mean anything. I will always keep this watch. I will never sell it no matter how much the price goes up or down. It is a symbol to me of how much money is really out there in the world. And there's so many different ways to make it. Never to view it as some kind of scarce resource.
