Cause and Affect With Dr. Uzi Moses

Dr. Uzi Moses explores cause and effect as both a scientific law and spiritual principle found in Newton's physics, karma, and Kabbalah. He argues ego obscures this awareness, leading people to ignore the ripple effects of their thoughts and actions. Mindfulness, journaling, and intention can break negative patterns and align you with conscious co-creation.

Okay, so we are live on Facebook. So, ladies and gentlemen, and hello and welcome to the Influencer Mindset podcast, where we explore the secrets to success, fulfillment, and living your best life. I'm your host, Uzi Moses, and today we're diving deep into a topic that lies at the very heart of human existence. Cause and effect. Have you ever stopped to ponder Why things happen the way they do? Why such an event unfold in our lives, seemingly guided by an invisible hand? Today, we are embarking on a journey to uncover the mysteries behind this fundamental principle and learn how we can harness its power to engineer the life of our dreams. So from the realms of science to the depths of spirituality and Kabbalah, and Hasidus. We'll leave no stone unturned as we seek to understand the forces that shape our reality. So sit back, relax, and prepare to expand your mind as we explore the profound wisdom of cause and effect. So one thing I can say is that I've done many, many episodes in this podcast, and I've never had an episode that there was everything just like, like there was a force trying to prevent me from doing this episode. It was supposed to happen yesterday and for some reason it didn't happen. I just got too busy with things and there was this thing that's come up and this thing's come up and then I realized that this episode is probably one of the most important ones just because that I feel that there is a force out there trying to prevent me from making this episode. So why is this episode so important? Why is cause and effect so profound? Just to start, I will tell you that the world, existence, everything was created because of cause and effect. This is a concept, literally, the way everything made. You know, you can, you know, some people call it evolution. But, you know, we, we have a little bit different opinions about evolution, but evolution kind of explains like how things develop in a way that one thing is leading to another. It's like a chain reaction of stuff. So in this episode, I'm going to go over about 5 things, 5 things that we're going to explore. So for example, the first one will be the science of cause and effect. So cause and effect is not only a spiritual idea. It's also a scientific idea. So in physics, Newton's third law of motion states that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. So this principle applies not only to physical objects, but also to psychological and biological phenomena. So in psychology, behaviorism emphasizes the cause and effect relationship between stimuli and responses. So, for example, the reinforcement of certain behaviors through rewards or punishment can shape future action. So in biology, cause and effect are evident in processes such as gene expression, okay, where environmental factors can influence the activation or suppression of genes, leading to specific outcomes. So here it is, like we have maybe a, I just lined up physics, psychology, and biology, which are three very profound principles of science and disciplines of science that are confirming cause and effect. It's actually a very real thing. So how does it apply to our own life? So to our own life, we have to understand that everything that we do, and sometimes it's not even an action, because you see, you have to understand that it's written that when a person thinks positive, the Creator of the world considered that positive thinking like he did a good deed. So from that, we learned that even our thoughts has an effect on us. Okay, whether it is going to affect our social life, our financial, our relationships, and most importantly, our health, our mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health has a direct connection to what we think, how we think, when we think. So we spoke a lot in this podcast about managing our thoughts, and how important that is to be the master of your thoughts and the master of your emotions. And you have to understand that this is not like something that you just feel like, oh wow, I have a yoga class today. You know, if I won't go, no big deal, right? I can go tomorrow. But this is not like that. You know, when you actually have a thought, that is, how would I say it, you know, in a way that won't sound like too crazy, but when you have a thought, for example, that you wish ill for someone, God forbid, you know, somebody told you something, somebody made a face to you, and now you're like, you're, you know, maybe externally you're going to be smiling, but internally you feel like, you know, you wish this person something bad. Automatically, you have to understand that what you created, what happened is that you released a certain energy into the Universe. And just like the saying, what goes around comes around, the boomerang effect, there will be a consequence. So usually when we, when we look at somebody and we God forbid, no matter what they do to us, no matter what they say to us, it has nothing to do with that. But when we look at anything in creation, so to say, and we think about that in a negative way, automatically we are going to get a negative result in our life. And the reason is because we are missing out the most important point of existence, which is the oneness of creation. So if we look at the world and we see something that we don't like, we need to understand that it's a reflection of us. We can't go and judge it, because if we're going to judge it, or if we, God forbid, going to wish it, we're going to have an ill wish towards it, it's like we are still didn't get the idea of what does that mean, the oneness of creation. And when we don't get the idea of what does it mean, the oneness of creation, we are going to get a bad reaction. and the bad reaction will come. Why? Because to teach us that there is oneness to creation. And everybody, especially human beings, are mirrors of us. And when we literally wish somebody else bad, God forbid, then we are actually doing it to ourselves. Doing it to ourselves. Sometimes people just can't help it. They just have to say something that or think something, you know, just like, you know, we're going to start with thoughts because thoughts are very, very, very, very important. So, so in Kabbalah, let's talk a little bit about the spirituality of what does that mean. So, so, so in Kabbalah, there is the concept of tikkun. Tikkun, what does that mean? Correction. So it suggests that the idea that every human being have a responsibility to repair or to improve the world. Through their actions. So every human being is created for a specific mission that only they can do. Just like we all have a certain face that nobody else have, a certain fingerprint that nobody else have, we have a certain mission, a certain correction to do in the world. It's like we are sent here on a mission that only us can do, and this is the correction. And this correction has to be manifested through our actions. So it aligns with the idea of cause and effect, where our deeds have a consequence. That ripple through existence. So if you think about it, it's called like the ripple effect. You know, when you're doing something that is positive, there's going to be a positive ripple effect. Just like when you throw a stone into the water, it creates a ripple. There's going to be a ripple effect for everything that we do. So in Judaism, we know it, we know it very well. But also in other religions, like for example, Buddhism teaches the law of karma. You know, so karma suggests that our intentional actions create an imprint on our consciousness and influence our future experiences. So positive actions lead to positive outcomes, while negative actions result in, God forbid, suffering. So this is why, you know, when I'm talking about, you know, let's engineer the life that we want. You know, and we know in Judaism there is the idea of try to give a little bit of donation every single day. We call it tzedakah. Try to give, even if you give 1, 2, or 3 coins every single day, you are already putting yourself in a better position because you are literally creating a ripple effect that will influence you. So even when you start the day, you know, you start the day, what do you say? Thank you, God, for bringing me back my soul. When you are being thankful to Hashem, again, that creates a ripple effect. So everything literally that you do, from thoughts, speech, and actions. But we know that in this world, action counts more. Just like they say, you know, actions speak louder than words. It's true. Actions do speak louder than words, because when you take an action, you're literally being the cause of the positive ripple that you want, and vice versa. So we're going to try to think about more of the positivity of what it is. So today is Friday, May 10th, and there is a lot, a lot, a lot to do. So I'm going to try to make it not such a long thing, but we're going to go into also Taoism. Taoism emphasizes the interconnectedness of all things in the universe, where every action is a part of a larger cosmic dance, so to say. So this perspective encourages individuals to align themselves with the natural flow of existence, understanding the role in the grand scheme of things. So for example, you know, when you try to do something, let's just say you're trying to create a new business, or you have a certain idea that you want to manifest. Usually, if you start taking action on this idea, then usually if this idea meant to be manifested, you're going to feel that the universe is working with you. You're going to know. It's going to be like a part of this harmony of things. All of a sudden, the right person will show up. The right idea will show up. And everything will just happen in harmony. And you're going to feel like, wow, I was born for this. I was born to do this. And it really, really is. Something that we should need to pay attention to, because when things are really getting difficult and, and, you know, and it's just like seems really, really, really hard to get things done, then, then it's probably something that you shouldn't be doing. Maybe you should be doing something else. Because again, it has to be a certain natural flow to, to existence. And, and, and you understand, you need to, you need to really know where you are in this flow. So you don't go against the flow. You try to go with the flow and get to the results of what you need to do because there is an interconnectedness in the world. And we talked about, you see, like most religions and spiritual disciplines understands the interconnectedness of everything. You know, in Judaism especially, we know that there is absolutely no other reality. God forbid, because if somebody, God forbid, thinks that there is another reality, thinks that there is another thing that exists, another creator or something like that, that's for us considered idol worshiping. So we understand that the concept of interconnectedness and oneness is something that it's very, very, very crucial for us to understand. And I'm going to go also to some Jewish sources here. Unfortunately, you know what, I opened that page. There is an amazing website in Israel. It's called otzor.org that has in it all the Jewish books ever written, you know, all the wisdom. It's called the Treasure of Wisdom of Judaism. And I just, you you know, typed in the cause and effect, which in Hebrew, it's called siba umesuvev. And one of the things that showed up, there was the idea that there is a side in us, I mean, there is a part in the world that God created that's going to try to prevent us from reaching what we want to reach, from reaching our goal or from achieving positive things in the world. And the reason why this force exists is because we need to overcome it. Because we want to be able to say, you know what, it didn't come to me just like that. I put the effort in it, and there was an effort that I put in, and I earned it. And one of the things that I read there was that one of the greatest things that the other side, so to say, the ego, or, you know, the ego has many different names. You know, it's like, starts with like, you know, the whole idea of light and darkness. So light represents your godly part, and darkness, so to say, represents your ego, your animal part. So one of the biggest things that the ego trying to do is trying to make you forget. That there is a cause and effect thing in the world. He's trying to make you think that if you do something, it's not going to be, it's not a big deal. There's no consequences. You can curse somebody. You can, somebody cut you off on the road. You can pull your finger out and you can say the F word like it's okay. But you have to understand that this is one of his greatest missions or accomplishments. You know, some people call it the devil. But really, really what it wants to do, it wants to make us forget this idea of cause and effect. Because if you don't think that there is cause and effect, if you don't believe in cause and effect, or you don't understand what cause and effect is, then you think that it's okay to do whatever you want, to say whatever you want. And that's a trick that the ego is playing on many, many people. You know, for example, you know, If somebody have too much pride, for example, pride is one of the worst human characteristic actually that is explained. So if somebody's just full of themselves, they have so much pride, there's going to be a consequence. It's going to be a consequence. Somehow the universe will make them understand that they're just a created being and you can be proud of of your children and stuff like that, but there is a certain pride that is just not right. Okay. So, and also the same thing, like people, some people get divorced, right? God forbid. I went through not an easy divorce. Some people have it even worse than me. So I'm thankful for everything that happens. Some people, even if they break up, go through a divorce, have some clashes with partners at work or with coworkers at work. So they think, you know what, you know, they just let this negativity kind of take over them and they just wish so much bad for the other person. So much bad for the other person. You know, they want to hurt, want to hurt the other person, hurt them emotionally, hurt them financially. And what happened is when somebody just get so full of themselves, so full of the ego, then they forget about cause and effect. And once you forget about cause and effect, you are putting yourself literally in danger. And maybe you hurt that person for 1 minute, 1 hour, for 1 week, but there's going to be consequences that's going to cost you more because there is a price for everything. There is no way because it's a proven scientifically. It's a concept that our sages are talking about since the beginning of time. It's the root of why we are here. Everything was created through cause and effect. And if we forget that, even for a second, we are getting into the danger zone. So we need to understand that cause and effect is not something that, it's another great concept to know. It's something that if we don't really pay attention to, and if we don't understand it, there is a force out there trying to make us forget about it. Then we could be a victim of our own thoughts, speech, and actions. Okay, so how do we break the cycle of negative patterns? Right? So if we recognize that negative patterns require self-awareness and introspection, so techniques such as journaling, therapy, mindfulness, meditation can help Individuals identify recurring behaviors that lead to negative outcomes. So if you constantly see that things are not— that this is not working for me, you know, I have to— you know, I know some people say, oh, these people are crazy, these people are like this, this, the government, they always have something negative to say about somebody or something. Try to, try to be more self-aware. Try to Introspect. Okay? Try to write it down. Maybe you are falling a victim to the idea that the ego is trying to make you forget about that concept of cause and effect. And then you're starting to talk negative about somebody. And you're starting to maybe say something negative about a group of people. Or about the government. Or about whoever it is. Again, you are falling into the trap of negative thinking, which is also a result of forgetting the idea of cause and effect. Because if you knew how much every thought that you have affects your own life because of the concept of cause and effect, because there is going to be a ripple, then you are to work on yourself and you need to kind of self-reflect and try to write it down. You go to therapy and mindfulness meditation also very, very recommended in these cases. So, so once you identify that there is a pattern that involves constantly choosing alternative actions or responses. This may require seeking support from friends and family or professional. You know, maybe you need some help. Maybe you need to reach out to somebody, reach out to a coach and say, hey, you know, I'm having these issues and I need some help. Maybe sometimes some people get so blinded or it's hard for them to kind of see What are they doing wrong? Why is this happening to me? Why is these things happening? Is because, guess what? For maybe quite some time now, you have not paid attention that there is a cause and effect in the world, and you've been creating a lot of negative ripples through your thoughts, speech, and actions, because you are being falling a victim to your own animal soul that is trying to blind you from the idea, from this very important a principle of nature. It's just like gravity. You know, gravity, there's no way if I'm going to throw something down on the floor, it's going to fall. You know, and it's the same way with cause and effect. If you don't pay attention to it, there is going to be a lot of negative ripple that's going to come into your life, and then you're going to blame everybody. You know, you know those people that think that they're right and everybody else is wrong, that they are always the victim and everybody else is always victimizing them or stuff like that. There has to be something that you can do to break this negativity, this pattern of negativity, and it has to do with consciously choosing alternative actions or responses. So understanding, wow, hold on, this, whatever, I had a roommate, this roommate stole my cheese, right? So I can go to this roommate and I can say, oh, da da da da da da, lead to another negative, and then it's just like, it blows up. And then you really fall into that, you're really becoming a victim of your animal soul making you forget about cause and effect, that every word you're going to say now, and your reaction, and your tone of voice, and your thoughts, It will have an effect. You can't run out of it, you know, just like, it's like again, you throw something in the air, it's going to fall into the floor. You can't stop gravity. Same thing with that. So remember, if you feel that there is too much and things are happening, don't be afraid to ask for help from family, friends, or even a professional. And you need to practice resilience. In the face of all these challenges. So also another thing that you need to understand that there is a— what you can do if you feel that there is too much negativity going on in your life and you want to break the pattern, you need to cultivate positive habits. Positive habits and behaviors because you understand that there is the concept of cause and effect in the world and anything positive that you will do or any positive action that you will do will bring you positive results. So you want to change, right? You want to change negative patterns by replacing them with positive habits and behavior, such for example as practicing gratitude, you know, being thankful. Being thankful, you know, some people forget that, you know, even to be able to digest your food, or to be able to breathe, or to be able to see, or to be able to walk, or to be able to have two hands, two legs, you know, teeth that you can chew your food, you know, all those things. It's like simple things, you know. If you practice gratitude, you understand that you should be grateful for everything. You should not take nothing for granted in this world. A lot of people are so busy with so much negativity, they forget, well, when was I thankful for my health? When was I thankful for all this positivity that I have in my life, that I have a house, that I have a car, that I have a computer? You know, and all those things that we are really blessed in our generation that we have a lot, that we have so much, thank God. So practice gratitude. Setting out boundaries. You know, what does that mean, boundaries? I mean, if there are negative people in your life, they don't get the idea, you're trying to break negative patterns, you have to sometimes say goodbye to negative people. It is what it is, you know. What can you do? You can't be around negative people and try to have positive patterns and positive outcomes coming into your life. You know, if somebody is constantly complaining, blaming, gossiping, stay away. Stay away. Don't do this to yourself because it's going to affect you and it will bring you results that you don't want to be a part of. So Also, remember to do fun things. Fun is very underrated. People think that you can only have fun if you are a child or a teenager or somebody in their 20s, or so to say. Fun is part of self-care. You need to engage yourself in activities that bring you happiness, that bring you joy, and it is a very, very important part of self-care and self-love. Let's really try to replace all those negativity, negative patterns in positivity. So also, positive activities that brings you happiness and joy can help you overwrite negative patterns and also create more happy life. You know, if you like art, go to museums. If you like to swim, go to the ocean. If you like views, you know, go to the mountains. Do things that makes you happy. Do things that that really keeps you full of joy and engage in those activities because those activities and those joys and even those moments will have a positive ripple in your life. It could inspire you. It could make you feel good because that's what we are trying to do here. We're trying to really live our best life. Okay. So now we're going to go to the fourth and a very, very important part of cause and effect, because we talked about the idea of thoughts, that every thought has an effect. But let's talk about intention. Intention is a very, very powerful tool that we could use. Intention acts as a guiding force that directs our thoughts, emotions, and actions towards a specific outcome. So when we set clear intentions, we focus our energy and attention on manifesting our desires. So, so what does that mean? We have to make sure that our intentions are not only to serve ourselves. You know, we are here to do a mission, and it's called Tikkun Olam. It's called a correction in the world. We were sent here to do that. So we are in service of the world. So our intention should be in that way. We should not only have intention to just gain for our own benefit. You know, just like Kabbalah explains, there is two main desires. One could like literally make you happy and fulfilled, which is a desire to receive in order to share with the world. So you want to have abundance and financial success so you can help people, so you can donate, so you could make people who are less fortunate than you happy too. And also, God forbid, the idea of receiving for the self alone. Receive for the self alone, this is what we are trying to avoid. So when everything that you try to do, every attention that you have, ask yourself, who am I feeding? What am I serving? Am I serving my personal little needs, or I'm serving a greater thing that it's bigger than myself, something that it's actually came here to serve the greater good? Now, so there is the idea of the placebo effect. Also, the placebo effect is a powerful example of the influence of intention on outcomes. So studies have shown that believing in the efficiency of a treatment can lead to actual psychological changes, demonstrating the mind's ability to influence physical reality. So it's already proven scientifically, for example. That if we take a cup of water and we curse it, and then we look into— through a microscope into the molecule, how they change, we see that they are— that our action literally corrupted the water. And if we do the opposite, we bless the water, and then we look into a microscope, we see beautiful patterns that are created Because we affected the water in that way. So just, just so we understand, we are made out of about 70% water in our body and about 80% water in our, in our head. And we are made out of water. This is the main thing in ourselves. So that is why everything that we do affects the quality of the water that we are literally made of. So, So the placebo effect is the idea that you, that you need to believe that, for example, if you believe that a certain pill will help you, then what's going to happen is you're going to cure yourself even though it's a sugar pill. Even though it's a sugar pill, you will feel better because you believed that that pill actually have a power to heal you. So you have to set up intentions that involves clarity, specific— this word is crazy— specificity, specificity, and believe in the possibility of achieving our goal. You have to really believe that you are here for a reason, that if you're here, it means that you are loved. God loves you. God wants you. You have a mission. You are important. And God literally needs you. He needs you to think positively. He needs every good words that you're saying and every positive action. And because that Almighty God, Creator of the universe, needs you and created you, still creates you, because we believe that the world wasn't created 6,000 million years ago. The world is being created every split second because God is choosing us and he's choosing to create us and bring us into existence. So when we understand that, then we know that if we really put the right intention in place, there is no way that we will not be successful. So setting, setting the right intentions, it's a very, very, very important idea. So we have to align our actions with our intentions. So if we understand that our intention should be to be doing a godly mission here in the world, we should start doing godly things. We should start thinking in a godly way. And by doing that, we are going to create a pathway for manifesting our desired outcomes in the world. So this is pretty much the idea of Engineering your life. Engineering your life is the idea, set up the right intentions and then take action that are aligned with those intentions. Okay? So, to the last part of this podcast, we are going to talk about becoming conscious co-creators. So the idea of, okay, you know, I'm a created being, I'm here on a mission. There is a force out there that's trying to make me forget about cause and effect, that every thought, that every action, that every second is meaningful. I have to understand that I need to start really connecting with the positive force of creation. The positive force of creation, it's you know, it's just so simple, you know, this concept of good and evil, yin and yang, black and white. These are, it's like the most simplest ideas, and sometimes it's just so hard to understand because when it comes to our own thoughts, speech, and actions, it's so easy for us to just forget and not pay attention. To things that we say or think or do. So what does that mean, becoming co-creators? So becoming co-creators means that we are starting to practice more mindfulness and more, you know, meditating, yoga, praying, whatever works for you. I mean, it doesn't have to be yoga, you know, if you like going to the gym, if you like stretching, Following some kind of a routine, because we have to also understand that we are made out of flesh and bones, and we need to keep ourselves in good shape, which means eating healthy, working out, not just sitting there and neglecting our health. So becoming co-creator has a lot to do with self-love and self-care. So mindfulness practices such as meditation, praying, cultivating Activating present moment awareness, it knowns to help people become more attuned to their thoughts, emotions, and behavior. And in one of my podcasts, I spoke about the garments of the soul. The garments of the soul are exactly that, our thoughts, speech, and actions. And here I'm describing it as our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, which is very, very similar The same idea, thoughts, speech, and actions. What we think, what we say, and what we do, it's literally the garments of our soul. We need to do whatever it is that we can do to be more attuned to those three things, to our thoughts, speech, and actions. So this heightened awareness, once we're starting to develop this awareness, once we're starting to understand that there is a force out there trying to make us forget that every word, every action, every reaction, every minute, every second of our life going to have a ripple effect, then we are starting to practice it, and then we are starting to pay more attention to it and be more aware of it, and that awareness allows for conscious decision-making and intentional actions. Which means that we could now choose to think positive, to do a positive action, and to create a positive ripple effect in our life, and to stop the patterns of negativity that are only there because we forgot about the idea of cause and effect, and we forgot that The Creator also created, or wants us to earn our blessings, and because He wants us to earn our blessings, He created a force out there that we need to overcome. So once we overcome, then we earn the blessings, and then we also feel good about it. We feel good, you know, put an effort, you know, we meditated, we had negative patterns, and now we transform those patterns into positive patterns. So the way we do that is we have to— there was the idea, maybe more— a lot of you knows about visualization techniques involves mentally rehearsing desired outcomes. So for example, the way it's described by many scientists that if you want something, you have to connect to the emotion that you will have if you already have that thing. So, so once you're able to feel that emotion, then you are going to be able to manifest that faster. So visualization, um, it's important, uh, and also, you know, rehearsing the desired outcome and activating the brain's natural networks associated with goal attainment. So obviously we want to improve things in our lives, so we have to already visualize it, imagine it, feel the emotion. How would we feel if we already have that goal, if we already attained that goal? And that will definitely get us closer. So if we vividly able to imagine us successful, then we are able to program our subconscious mind to support this aspiration. You know, it's a very, very simple idea, and we can do that. So, so this also the idea of manifestation, uh, this is a manifestation such as affirmations, uh, or vision boards, or harnessing the power of positive thinking and beliefs in one's ability to create reality. When you are co-creator, you understand that there is a part There is a spark of God inside of you. You are a part of God himself. And when you understand that you are part of God himself, then you understand that you have the power to co-create. When you have the power to co-create, then you are able to get and to build and to engineer the life that you want. Okay, so by constantly reinforcing positive beliefs, positive actions, and positive intentions, we we can shape our experience, and we can shape the outcome and the results of our lives. So, I think that this will be it for now. What I'm going to do, because this is, I think this is a very, very important subject, I'm going to also prepare another podcast on this idea, but this time I'm going to use only scriptures that are written in the Jewish bookshelf, where we're going to connect to this idea, these ideas in a more deeply, deeply way. Because what happened is the stem has been talking about this 1003, I mean, the Zohar and the Ari HaKadosh and all those big, big Jewish sages been emphasizing the importance of this idea for millennia, literally for millennia. And now recently, recent years, maybe past 50 years, 50 to 100 years maybe, people started from Newton, I guess. It was like the first example that I gave with his second law of motion. People starting to understand the importance of it, but it's way, way underrated. So we're going to dive even deeper. So thank you for joining me today. If you like this episode and it speaks to you, please like, share, subscribe. And also, I just wanted you to know that I have started helping people in the community, people that are going through any type of divorce or problems in relationships or single parenting, people that need help and encouragement. We also have a scholarship for people who need financial help to get on the right mental frequency. So if you, if you or anybody that you know need help, please reach out to me and I will be more than happy to help and to really get results that will be beyond anybody's expectation. So thank you for watching. Shabbat Shalom. Have a wonderful weekend and take good care. Bye-bye.
