I would like to share a few words with you. So this week's portion is Genesis. The Torah is talking about the creation of Adam, the first man, and the first commandment that God gave this guy. And the commandment was not to eat from the tree of knowledge. On the contrary, it was something very simple. Just don't eat from that tree. And the sages are telling us that this prohibition was only good for 3 hours. So all Adam had to do is wait 3 hours. So the question is, why did Adam could not wait 3 hours? What was the big deal of not eating from the tree of knowledge? It was just a tree. Well, it's well known that when it comes to the sin of the tree of knowledge, there is a lot of hidden secrets. But we have to find an explanation according to the simple text that it's written in the Torah. And we also have to learn What is the takeaway for us from this whole prohibition, not eating from the Tree of Knowledge, and Adam and Eve getting kicked out from the Garden of Eden? So the reason why the Creator created evil inclination in this world is to make us humans fight for everything. And the only way for us to get what we want is by using our free will. The job of the evil inclination is to try to prevent us to do the will of our Creator. The evil inclination does a very fateful job, and he knows how to use different tactics and different things, different tricks to make us do the wrong things. So he will get his wish and we will not fulfill what Hashem, what God wants us to do. So the goal of the evil inclination is to prevent humanity to do the will of the Creator. The bigger the thing we want to do, the harder the evil inclination will work to prevent us from doing that. Every human being have a specific deed that they need to do, that those deeds are connected to the mission of that particular person, of you and me in this world. The evil inclination will be very particular and work extra hard to prevent us from fulfilling those good deeds, or on the contrary, make us sin. And that is why we each need to know exactly what are the specific actions and good deeds that we need to do that are connected to our own specific mission. And we need to be very careful in those specific deeds. And that's why the more important the person, the more important the good deeds are, the the evil inclination will work to prevent us from becoming even greater and reach our full potential. Remember that our evil inclination becomes stronger and will try to seduce you, and it will prevent even— it will present even bigger temptation to you at the same weight of the spiritual greatness or the greatness in general that you're trying to achieve. He will try to do anything to prevent us from fulfilling the will of the Creator. And the will of the Creator is what we need to do. And this explains the sin of the Tree of Knowledge. Just because Adam was a created being of the Almighty, and just because the importance of the commandment not to eat from the tree, because of that, the evil inclination, also known as the ancient snake or serpent, he did everything in his power to seduce Adam so Adam will break the will of his Creator. And get kicked out of the Garden of Eden. The takeaway for us is that when we feel that our evil inclination is working extra hard and is trying to prevent us to do a good deed, or instead do something wrong, and he's trying to tempt us to go the wrong way, We have to conclude that these, these deeds are very crucial for us and for our own specific mission in this world. This is the way for us to know how important those deeds are, because when we feel the evil inclination is working even harder and extra hard to try to prevent us from doing something, we should know that that thing that we need to do is very important for us and is crucial for our mission. And for, and for that reason, we were created
