Where do you truly come from when you influence?

Uzi Moses PhD explores Jewish mysticism's approach to influence, drawing from the Tanya and Zohar. He explains the Beinoni, an intermediate soul that battles ego without sinning, and uses a candle metaphor to show how good deeds fuel spiritual light. True influence comes from merging with the Creator through love, awe, and gratitude.
Chapters
Hello everyone. So good to see everyone here. I really, really feel blessed to be able to record this and continue our learning to really become the best we can be and influence the world with our mission, with our purpose, and deliver what we came here to deliver. Which is our greatness. And today, I mean, I wanna just to talk a little bit about how unique this podcast, this video, or wherever you get to listen to this information is. First and foremost, the approach for influencing using spirituality, using the mindset of the sages, mindset of giant masters of Jewish wisdom that we can just, you know, take their approach and implement it in our daily life to be great and to do more, to be happier, and to just achieve more out of life and to do the best in the time that we have here on this planet. So we've been hearing a lot going on in the world right now. Banks are collapsing, cryptocurrency is going up, so definitely invest. I definitely recommend people to buy some cryptocurrency at this point, even though I don't give any financial advices. I just personally own cryptocurrency, and I think that It's the trust protocol. It's something you can trust. It's not a bank that you don't know if it's gonna be here tomorrow. It really is something that you should look into, and it's worth investing your extra dollars and just put it there and see it grows. Besides that, today is Sunday, and if you remember last time when I doing this class or studying or podcast, just solo, just me. We were learning from the Tanya, and we were talking about the main character of the book of Tanya, which is the Beinoni. Beinoni is like the middleman, the middleman, but not in a sense of like somebody who cuts commission between You know, the source and the buyer, like in business. The Benoni is like a person who is not a complete righteous, he's not a complete enlightened person, but he also does not sin, which means he does not allow, he doesn't allow the garments of the animal soul to get enclosed in his body. To do or to say or to think things that he shouldn't be thinking. Even though the animal soul constantly is trying to get enclosed within him, but he is very strong and he develops. It's actually considered a very, very high level that it's standing between being completely righteous human being, which means enlightened and only operating as really a light warrior, somebody who is just in the world to do good and to help and to improve and improve themselves and the world and everybody around them and just like make this world better. And then we have the Benoni, which is also a person who is amazingly good. He does not make any mistakes. He's not out there to do any harm. He's also out there just to do good in the world. But the difference between him and the righteous person, that he has constant struggles, constant wars, but he's able to fight them in a way that does not let the animal soul get the garments of the animal soul, which are the thoughts, speech, and action of the animal soul, of the evil inclination, of the ego, get included within him. So his animal soul, His animal soul just stays there and it doesn't really have any effect on him. So the question is, why the souls of the Benoinim came down to this world? Just to fight, you know, just to fight all day, to fight all day. It does not make really sense. So is this is what we have to do to, you know, to better ourselves, but to constantly keep on fighting, but hopefully not to fall into the trap of the animal soul, God forbid, and to wear the clothing, the garments of the animal souls. So we don't want to do that, God forbid. But in the previous chapter, the Alter Rebbe explains that the war of the Benoni in the animal soul is to not let her control his mind, his thoughts, speech, and action. And just by doing that, he is making the world a better place, and the Creator loves that. The Creator just loves to see a human being who is able to conquer his desires, who is able to conquer his selfishness, and he is all about making this world better. And it's not just like that. He doesn't just do it. This is not the only purpose of it. But also, it's the idea that he's fighting and he's winning. And he's a winner. And when the Godly soul wins, you know, he says here that the animal soul does exactly what the Godly soul wants and asks for it. And the animal soul wants to take control over the ego, over the animal soul, in a way that they both, you know, are standing firm, yet the ego and the animal soul are, you know, abound or a lessening or under the influence of the Godly soul. And then he goes on to continue that this is the comfort, this is the comfort of being a Bano-e-Ni'il. It's the comfort that you are a winner, you're able to win, you don't let any negativity penetrate into you. You are very selective on your thoughts, on your speech, on your actions. You're only thinking positively, good thoughts, thoughts that are helping you progress, move forward, get ahead, helping the world, helping your society, helping your family. It's all about being a better friend, a better parent, a better citizen, a better community member. And it's really And also the idea that when you do that, again, if you guys remember, we spoke about that amazing happiness that comes when the Godly Soul is being redeemed from the influence of the Animal Soul, is just tremendous. We imagined being a Benoni is being constantly feeling happy, happy, internal happiness. And also it's the idea of being under the influence and under the light of the Godly light. You know, being in that, I like to call it the flawless universe. A world where everything synchronizes, everything works out. And of course, puts you in a state of mind of learning, of curiosity, of wanting to know more, of wanting to explore more. About everything, about life, everything is interesting, rather than, ah, whatever, nothing really, you know, nobody really cares. So then he continues, he continues to teach us, probably pretty much the state that we want to be, you know. And then he gives a little parable from the book of the Zohar, which is I spoke about this book. The Zohar is one ancient book that was written a little bit over 2,000 years ago by a righteous man who lived in a cave for 13 years that was able to reveal the light of the Creator and secrets of the Torah. You know, the Torah, which is the Hebrew Bible, the Old Testament, so to say, it's like, almost like, how do you say it, it's like a manual for the Soul. It doesn't really have a lot to do with the body, it really has a lot to do with the Soul, even though some of those stories, they look like a history book, but it's really all about the Soul. And when, when, you know, a righteous human being is bringing down all those secrets, then what he does, that it gives us the tools to be in charge of our souls. Because again, it's really all about emotions. The Tanya book is a book, is a Jewish psychology of emotions. And those emotions are determining the way we behave. We behave according to how we feel. And how we feel determines who we are. So, it's so important to to have the right feelings and to be able to decide on how we feel and what we feel and when we feel what. Because this is how we can control our life. If somebody really able to ignite us emotionally, then they rule us, they control us. And we don't want to be controlled. We want to be in control of us so we can be a conduit to the light of the creator in this world and influence the world in a positive way. So, go back to that parable from that book of the Zohar. So he explains that the Light of the Creator is just like the light of a candle. That the light of a candle that is holding the wick without oil. He's still on the wick, lit, but there is no oil. This means that it's like almost infinite source of energy that doesn't need anything to, any oil to burn. It just burns by itself. So, so the body, is a parable to the wick and the soul is the light and the soul— the oil that keeps that light burning is actually our good deeds. So when we do good, when we think in a good way, what happens? Our soul is lighting up our body, just like a candle but without oil. The oil that brings that soul to burn is our good thoughts, speech, and actions. And that's the oil. And it's not only that the soul It's not only that we get our Soul, that it's an actual part of the Creator. If you can imagine what the Creator is, is an infinite, Godly, endless being. And then there is a part of that, that is ours, that can come to us, that was designated to us, which is our Soul. And the Soul becomes like the oil for the wick, which means that the Soul, the Godly Soul, it's like an oil that makes the light, the light goes. And this is really, really deep stuff over here. Because, he says that the— The oil, the body. The body is like the wick. So the nature of fire is always to go up. It doesn't hold down, it doesn't go down, it goes up. So, so it just holds the wick, but it always goes up. And he says that a fire that comes from the wick alone doesn't bring like a bright clear light. Because of the wick. The wick is exactly the opposite of the fire. And this is why you need an oil. This is why you need oil. Because oil is what, it's the substance that turns into real fire, you know. If you just see a flame without oil, it's just a very weak flame. But once you put the oil, it shines like, wow. And this is why the body cannot be, cannot be designated as oil for the light that is residing within us. Because the body is, you know, it doesn't, in reality, the body doesn't have a light of its own. But the Soul, because the Soul is a Godly part, and is a Godly spark from above, it could turn into the Light of the Creator, and it could, and it's able to dwell within the human being, within the person, and to light, and to, you know, light like an oil. So, so the question is, why do we need to do good deeds? Why do we need to do good deeds? So the good deeds will be the oil, right? And the Alter Rebbe explains, that the Soul of a human being, even a righteous person, who is very— who is like glued to the Creator, it's— compared to the Creator's Light, it doesn't exist really. It becomes nullified, until it— when it's nullified, it becomes the light of the Creator. It doesn't become separated, it just turns into one with the Creator, which is an amazing concept. And this is deep stuff, you know, this is deep stuff. And I think that the reason why I'm actually making a YouTube video about this, because the world is ready for this. The world is ready to understand exactly what's happening. With our Soul, because that's really the most important thing, because our Soul will stay here forever. So, to continue, to continue that, so what happens, we do good deeds, that good deeds becomes like the oil, that oil keeps our Soul, our Soul is always in our, it's always, There, right? But it's burning very lightly, but our good deeds make it bright, make it shine. Right? Just like real oil of a candle. Okay, so, so he keeps explaining, for it to become completely to the light of the Creator, it becomes one with it, because it nullifies compared to its light, so we just gets to be, it's called Ayin, which means, which means completely nullified to the light of the Creator, and it becomes one with the Creator. You know, there is another, it's not from the Tanya, but another, you know, another parable to understand this. Just think about your soul as a drop of water that falls into the ocean. I write this in my book. A drop of water that falls into the ocean, what happened to the drop of water? It becomes the ocean. And this is a— this is the same concept. So, also to understand that we're not a drop of water in the ocean, we are the ocean, the whole ocean in one drop, which means once— once we— become one with the Creator, we really become one. It's just like, you know, imagine a cell in the human body, the cell of human, in the human body, if you had consciousness, what does the cell feel? It doesn't feel itself as a cell, it feels itself as the whole body. It's the same concept. So instead of us feeling ourselves as a separated thing, we feel like we are the whole body. We are connected, we become one with the Creator, with this consciousness. And then he just continues to explain that feeling, that feeling of once the emergence or to become one and that nullification that happens to our soul and becomes one. Just like he explains it as an amazing feeling. Amazing, tremendous love and connection and pleasure that it's unprecedented. Because it's— you can actually feel the love and the pleasure from godliness, which is considered a very high elevated level. But he says that that even though you feel that it's the highest level, it's not really the highest level. The highest level, because he explains that, that your soul doesn't get completely nullified in reality, and the light of the Creator, it's a separate thing. So you have to have that awe, that awe. When you have that awe, that love and awe, which is the fathers of emotions, love and awe. So he explains it that this is what God wants from us. He wants for us to have that love and awe and to have, and once we are with our consciousness, we can get immersed in the oneness of creation, then we feel that tremendous, you know, love and pleasure of being one with the Creator, which means loving everything, loving people, loving life, living a life of gratitude. When you're grateful for everything, for every breath you take, for every step, for every heartbeat, life just becomes more pleasurable because everything else is bonus. Everything else is bonus. Don't see yourself as like, I need to get more. So I have enough, I am enough. Everything beyond that point is just extra love and extra embrace of the Creator. So basically, why is all of this happening? Because the Creator wants us to do good. He wants us to win the war against the evil inclination, the ego. That selfish mindset, and he wants us to be altruistic, to be more giving, more loving, and to win, to win the war, not to let the animal soul get included within us and rule our life. That's what happens, you know, to many people, unfortunately. You don't pay attention, you let your soul just run out, and then before you know it, you are under the control of your animal soul, and you're acting very animalistic. Your emotions are completely off. And then you're like, oh, why did I say that? Why did I go there? Why did I do this? Why did I do this? Why did I do that? Then you lose, waste time, you waste money, you waste this, you waste that. And you don't have to do this, because there is a way that you could really connect to the true essence of who you are. Which is an amazing, pure, godly being. But let's just continue here and see exactly what's going on. So again, this is a very deep concept. It's pretty amazing that we're even talking about this here on this video, on this podcast. But I think it's important because once you understand the true struggle, the true war that's going on within you, you could like really give it a fight and not be a slave to this energy, the selfish energy that just wants to literally put you down, drag you down, drag you down. You know, nobody— selfish people never really win, never really wins. Nobody did. They have to just have to eventually You know, fight it. And this is when true happiness and joy and pleasure, becoming part of the oneness of creation. What could be better than this? And then living your life from that point of view, from that consciousness, influencing the world from that consciousness. Whatever you're going to do, you're creating content, you're going to your job, you're talking to your coworkers, colleagues, spouse, children. When you come from that point of view, you really are living life to the best of its ability, to what it's meant to be. And then everything just works out because you're entering a flawless universe, a world that everything synchronized, and you're going to find your mission and you're going to find the right people who's going to be there for you and help you to get to where you need to go. And we're going to continue now. So he talks about, you know, I don't want to elaborate too much because this is way too deep, you know. But the bottom line is that we want to become one. We want to become a part of the oneness of creation. And we want to, you know, be able to consciously nullify ourselves into it and be it. You know, it's about, Not about thinking it, wanting it, you know, it's about being it, being it, letting it. Let the drop fall into the ocean, let us be the ocean. Okay, and then he's going like really, really deep, really, really deep, and I don't want to go too deep again. I don't want to go too deep, let me see where we stand right now, with the time, we're already 25 minutes in, which is pretty good. I think 25 minutes is pretty good, we might stop here and then continue tomorrow, but let me just see a little bit more of what the Elder Rabbi is trying to give us here. Okay, okay, so yeah, you know what, he talks about the face, he talks about the will, that there is, there is a will that brings life to creation, and then there is a will of doing good deeds. And it says that, that the world and the created beings are getting their loveliness, getting their life from the, from the upper will. And the upper will comes to us after many, many, many, you know, How do you, contractions, and it's hidden. I mean, the will of the creator, it's, we can't really see it, we can't really understand it. But it's the pneumion, which means the, the internality, something that is inside. And, Then he explains again how, pretty much, the world was created in that same order, in that same concept. Becomes— becomes something out of nothing, pretty much. Something out of nothing. So we're gonna stop here and we're gonna continue tomorrow. Thank you for watching and thank you for joining me today. I really asking you to please Like the video if you liked it, share it, follow, subscribe, and I'm looking forward to see you at our next consciousness learning about how to influence the world in a way that is in our true essence. Truly who we are and not being controlled by ego, selfishness. So we need to know how to do it, and this is why we are doing this channel. So thank you for watching and see you next time.
