故事 ( 蘇打綠 )
The provided text is a transcribed excerpt from the song “故事” by the Taiwanese band Sodagreen (蘇打綠). It consists of alternating lines spoken by two vocal parts (Speaker A and Speaker B), forming a lyrical dialogue that weaves fragmented images of wind, rain, moon, flowers, and water with emotional statements of love, hate, sorrow, and laughter. The lyrics employ heavy repetition, surreal metaphor, and a stream‑of‑consciousness style to convey a sense of longing, memory, and the bittersweet passage of time. Key motifs include wind as a force that separates, water as “bitter water” that bites, floral imagery (桃花, 月季) symbolising fleeting beauty, and the juxtaposition of crying and laughing to illustrate inner conflict. The overall mood is melancholic yet reflective, inviting listeners to contemplate the complexity of human feelings within an almost dream‑like narrative.
