The Future of Consciousness: Spirituality in the Age of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with Vishen Lahkiani
2 Apr 2025 · 41 min
This is a verbatim transcript of a podcast episode (recorded April 2, 2025) in which Michael B. Beckwith interviews Vishen Lakhiani (founder & CEO of Mindvalley). They trace Vishen’s journey from engineering and Silicon Valley setbacks to discovering the Silva/Ultramind method, founding Mindvalley, and teaching mind-techniques (intuition, visualization). The conversation centers on integrating spirituality with AI: Vishen frames AI as an emergent extension of a “human colossus” (fed by collective human content), describes how Mindvalley uses AI for personalized communication and a planned adaptive education product, and raises concerns about weaponization, bias, and the need to accelerate human consciousness alongside technology. Episode ends with Mindvalley product milestones, a two-year timeline for the education AI, sponsor reads, and a short guided meditation.

You see, AI is fed. Large language models are literally fed by our writing, by us. I can go to a large language model and I can say, write like turn this email, write this email as if it was written by Vishen Makhiani.
Right.
And the AI could do that because Vishen Kiani's is within this human colossus. So AI isn't as scary as we make it out to be. Yes, there are things about AI that can be scary. We'll come to that in a moment. But AI is basically us. It is a collective of us. We are as much a part of AI. It is not a separate thing. It is us. It is our combined brains, our combined art, our combined writings, our combined music that is what produces AI. AI is bridging our collective knowledge, peace and riches.
Blessings. I am Michael B. Beckwith, the host of Take Back youk Mind. Listen, listen, listen, listen. Feel it, feel it, feel it, feel.
It as we're lifted up into the spiritual domain.
Peace and blessings everyone. And welcome to Take back your Mind podcast. I am your host Michael B. Beckwith, the founder of the Agape International Spiritual center. And every week I get to have great conversations with individuals in their own way have taken back their mind and based on the energy that has been enhanced by that, they're touching millions of people around the world, changing lives. I have Vision Lakhiani with me today.
Hi Michael.
Welcome brother.
So good to be back in conversation with you.
Absolutely. We've done this before.
Yes, yes, many times. And usually it's me interviewing you.
Yeah, absolutely. So I get the return to favor.
Right.
In case you don't know who this man is, I'm sure many of you do. Particularly those who have been tuned into my podcast for a long period of time. I'll give you a little bit of who he is. Inspirational keynote speaker, educational activist, three time New York Times best selling author, one of the leading minds in the self improvement in human consciousness. As the founder and CEO of Mind Valley, the foremost provider of online education for personal growth, he has created a platform that includes a variety of highly esteemed health and wellness applications. Vision has received recognition throughout the years for his contribution to this self improvement in human consciousness industry. A few highlights include being listed as one of the top 100 influential spiritual teachers by Watkins in 2022. His mind training techniques, his have been widely used and endorsed by professional athletes across major sports leagues including the NBA, the NFL, US Open, tennis, proving their effectiveness in optimizing human performance at the highest level. Today he's focused on advancing the mindvalley platform through cutting edge AI technology and machine learning solutions to make it the most sophisticated learning platform in the world. We're going to get into that. His vision for the company includes this, reaching 100 national schooling systems and every company in the Fortune 500 within the next decade. You already have that as a vision. Yeah. Possible you were in Silicon Valley, you got burnout or something happened, something moved you into this particular area of transformation. Tell us a little bit about that.
Yeah, so I did the map of success that our education system tells us to do. Right. Which, which in my case was study engineering, move to Silicon Valley, raise a ton of money, start a company, try to get rich.
Sounds very Indian.
It is.
Become an engineer.
Yeah, yeah. So that, that, that for sure, very much like it. Like, like an immigrant mentality. But when I moved to Silicon Valley, what happened is I ended up losing the 30 grand that I borrowed from my father, lost the company, the dot com bubble burst. So the economy tanked and I went into this period of despair and depression. And to pull myself out of that, I decided to go into personal growth, to start reading books, to start taking courses to get my mind back together. I remembered the personal growth books that my dad would encourage me to read when I was a young man. Books by Bob Proctor, by Jose Silba, by Wayne Dyer. And those books helped me as a teenager. But here I'd become an adult and I'd forgotten all of that. And I was about money, success, fame. And so Silicon Valley was a sucky experience. And to get myself out, I went online and I googled for insight, for help, for wisdom. What I discovered was Silva ultramind, which was the latest version of the work by Jose Silva, the, you know, the 1960s mind science pioneer. I take a class, and this class is wild. It teaches you how to tap into intuition and develop waking psychic ability, which means you have this voice inside you guiding you what to do. Right? Okay, so it sounds crazy.
I took some of my control. A lot of people in the 70s.
Wayne Dyer did it. Apparently Deepak Chopra did it. Wayne Dyer said, anything with Jose Silva has my vote before I open the page one, Right? Okay. So I take this class, and already in the class I'm getting these flashes of insight, of intuition. But now I go back to my job in Silicon Valley. And so this is 2004, right? We're using the Yellow Pages. So I'm given a list of names in the Yellow Pages and I have to call these lawyers and sell them our technology for managing a law Firm. And everyone goes A to Z. I learned using the Silver method to go within, to go into what is called the alpha and deeper theta level of mind, lowering your brainwave frequencies while staying awake. So most people at theta, they nod off. I'm staying awake. I run my finger down the yellow pages and I check in with my intuition. Yes, no, no, no. Yes, yes, no, no, yes. And I only call the yeses. And overnight, I double my sales. I do nothing different. I double my sales. Now I go deeper. I start practicing creative visualization. I double my sales. Again, I go deeper. I practice a technique from Jose Silva called subliminal programming. Where you imagine you program yourself to wake up in the middle of the night when your brain frequency, as he puts it, matches the subject's brain frequency. So you can have a subliminal dialogue with them.
Yes.
For a win win.
Right.
So I waking up in the middle of the night with the target attorney, whose law firm I'm looking to close, having a conversation with them on how we want them to be successful. We guarantee this product and declaring that if this is a win win, they will take my call. Again, I double my sales. So now I'm 26 years old, 26 to 27. I had no experience in sales. But in four months, I've become vice president of sales of this company of 100 people.
Based on your accomplishment.
Exactly.
Right.
Exactly. So this leads to thinking, why aren't they teaching this in school? Right. Right. Why didn't my $100,000 college education teach me any of these things?
Right.
And so 18 months later, I decided to quit my job as VP of Sales.
Let me ask you this.
And build a website dedicated to meditation.
Did your intuition lead you to do this?
Exactly.
Okay.
My intuition led me to quit my job. And this is where again, it gets. It gets interesting. I remember it was a rainy day in New York. I was taking a walk on the street with my girlfriend. It started raining, and this intuitive feeling just came to me. And it said, quit, quit cell meditation. And sometimes when intuition comes to you, there's also a physical repercussion. Something happens in the physical world.
Right?
And what happened to me is I read a quote by Nelson Mandela that said, if you want to change the world, change your education. Now, I was this. This idea. Let me get these ideas out really in my heart. So I call up the Silva Method. Jose Silva has passed away. I call up his. I track down his children. I get the rights to sell his CDs, build a simple website, and it blows up and today, 20 years later, it's Mindvalley. We have a hundred of the world's greatest programs in personal growth, thousands of world quality hypnotherapists and meditations. And the Silver Method is usually still a number one or number two program. We're now the exclusive distributor of the Silva Ultramind system. And as Jose Silva has passed away over 25 years ago, his family asked me to be the new face of that system. So I now teach it.
Yeah, I saw when you started doing that, because it reminded me in the 70s, I took that, me and a couple of friends of mine. And I don't know how it is now where we used to have to go into our alpha level and meet these beings that would assist and guide us.
Exactly.
We did a lot of work on healing, seeing the person, healing them.
Yeah, yeah. You learn intuition. So how in Silva Ultramind, how we teach intuition is. And it's really, really intriguing. Intuition is activated easiest when a person we love is going through an illness and there's a desire within us to help them detect that abnormality in their health and heal it.
Right.
So we activate people to be intuitive beings by taking them through a protocol where they learn to stay awake at the theta level of mind. Then we give them the age, name, gender, and location of people unknown to them.
Absolutely.
And they project their awareness into these people. And for some reason, health issues prop up. Okay. This person has a fracture in their shoulder. This person has a depression. This person really needs help because they're grieving. It just comes to you. Intuition, for some reason, comes to you. Not at first. When you're trying to build a new app or write your book. It comes to you when your soul is seeking to uplift and heal another soul. Right. Which makes me think that we all have this desire at a soul level to be deeply connected and supportive of each other. And then Jose Silva teaches you visualization to help accelerate healing in the other person. And this has now been proven by science.
Absolutely. Now, when I saw you doing that, it just shot me back to my early days of basically studying everything after I had my spiritual awakening. And I said, look at vision go. He's bringing silver mind control back.
Exactly.
It's beautiful. So you're saying it's like number one or two all the time.
It's number one right now. Our number one program. So mindvalley is like a subscription. You know, you pay once. It's super affordable. I mean, a monthly subscription is like 49 bucks. And you get all of the world's greatest programs right now. Our number one program is the Art of Manifesting by Regan Hillier.
Okay.
And this program, you know, it's a lot of our programs are compatible. This program goes really deep in the art and science of manifesting your reality. Right.
Because we were together at the manifestation seminar, we in Miami, we had to speak there. Yeah, yeah. That was powerful.
You and Neil Donald Walsh and Reed diamond and me and Reagan Hillier.
Right. That was a great. That was a great moment.
Yeah. Right.
So tell me a little bit about. Okay, you're in mindvalley now, you're doing your deal, and you have something called the work life integration. Rather than balance your life, break down what work life integration is.
Okay, so a better word that we use for that rather than work life integration is, is the Buddha and the badass. The integration of the Buddha and the badass. The name of your book, Right? Exactly. Another. So that's an archetype. Other words of this or variations of this archetype would be spiritual, gangster, spiritual, badass. We hear this, but what exactly does it mean? Right. It means someone who is entrepreneurial, creating, producing, helping make the world better, fighting for something. Whether you're an activist or you're, you know, writing a book, or you simply want to like dedicate your life to raising your kids in the best possible way, you are creating some sort of change in the world. Right, Right. That's the badass vibe. You. You want to.
It's also the entrepreneurial spirit. Yes, the entrepreneurial spirit, the real meaning.
But at the same time, if you only have that because these things are not easy. I mean, look at the stats. 19 out of 20 small businesses will fail.
Right?
You can crush yourself. You can go through incredible bouts of stress, failure, life going up and down. And that's why you gotta have your Buddha essence solid. You gotta understand emotional resilience. You gotta master your mind. You gotta learn tools such as how to naturally heal your body, how to sleep, biohacking, manifesting, all of these have a purpose. This is the Buddha. Now, when you combine both the Buddha and the badass, I believe that is a well put together human being.
Right? Right.
You don't want to be just badass because you will burn out. You don't want to be just Buddha because the world needs people who are going to create a change.
Right?
Right, Right. You don't want to just be sitting on your yoga mat, get off your damn butt and create something. The Buddha and the badass is what we care about. You embody this.
Yeah. You're talking about the combination of. I'll use the word balance between the yin and the yang. Basically, you know, you have your dynamic expression, creativity and creation, generosity, giving, giving, creating. And then you have the. The allowing. The letting.
Exactly.
Allowing you to come through. You're implementing this in your business.
Exactly. Right, right. And so that's what mindvalley is about. It's about creating Buddha badasses we teach. Our hottest topic last year was not just manifesting, it was artificial intelligence applied to entrepreneurship activity. So you can accelerate your work production.
I want to talk about that.
Perfect. That's Buddha and badass combined. Those are the people that enter our community.
Now, some people see the spirituality and the AI is contradictory. Obviously you do not.
Right.
You see an integration of that, and you're seeing it in your own work, in your own life. Break down the evolution.
Okay, well, firstly, AI. AI is not the philosopher. Tim Urban explains it this way. Okay. We are entering an age where human beings are becoming connected at a really, really, really deep level. And this connection comes from wireless technologies, the Internet, and now through the vast amount of social interaction that is collected in this thing called the World Wide Web. We're talking Reddit, we're talking news articles, we're talking blog, we're talking YouTube videos, Instagram posts. All of this connection sits in this giant cloud. And what's happening is that we are creating a new type of species. And the species is really where you and I are individuals. But there's a larger individual that Urban calls the human colossus. The human colossus is the mass amalgamation of all our combined writings, knowledge, opinions, observations. Now, AI is a technology that sits on top of this human colossus and gives it a brain. You see, AI is fed. Large language models, are literally fed by our writing, by us. Yes, I can go to a large language model and I can say, write, like, turn this email, write this email as if it was written by Vishen Makhiani. And the AI could do that. Because Vishm Pankhyani's worth, from your words, is within this human colossus. So AI isn't as scary as we make it out to be. Yes, there are things about AI that can be scary. We'll come to that in a moment. But AI is basically us. It is a collective of us. We are as much a part of AI. It is not a separate thing. It is us. It is our combined brains, our combined art, our combined writings, our combined music. That is what produces AI. AI is bridging our collective knowledge. Now, why are people afraid of AI? Because what scientists are discovering. So one of my AI trainers, Iman Obu, she said something really insightful recently. She said, we are not inventing AI, we're discovering AI. Now, what does she mean by that? What she means by that is that we are discovering these emergent properties within AI where the large language models are doing things that we don't understand, where this intelligence is coming from. They are coming up with complex ideas with complex understandings that were not originally programmed.
Now, that's interesting.
And this is what is mysterious. We're discovering AI, not just inventing it.
So it's not just an expression. There's two things. One, we're discovering it, but the original individuals who are imprinting it, it's their energy, it's their potential that's being activated. So the AI is more of a reflection of our own potential, in a.
Sense, and a reflection of our minds, our creativity. You know, there's this. There's that Will Smith movie where he's talking to a robot and he says, and you will never be able to write poetry. You will never be able to do art, you will never be able to sing a song. That's for us humans.
Right.
Well, we've now proven Will Smith wrong. AI is writing music, AI is writing poetry.
They're writing screenplays.
Writing screenplays. AI is creating incredible art that's selling for hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Yeah. The only thing that I'm thinking about, I think about a lot, is that I don't. I see all AI and technology as prosthetics of who we are. They're basically extensions of our infinite potential.
Exactly.
And what I don't want is for us to totally rely on it, that we don't activate our own potential. When you're going into silver mind control, when you're going into visualization, when you're going to meditation, you're activating your own potential. So we don't want to talk about the combination of the boot and the badass. We don't want to not allow our potential to be activated so that we wither.
Right.
And so that would be my only concern about it.
Exactly, exactly. So let me give you an example. So I use AI in a lot of my communication mediums. When I'm writing an email, it's written by an AI that I've trained on Mindvalley's voice and you. And I've even fed it my book and told it to understand my writing style. Okay. But what that AI cannot do in that email is create depth of human connection. Human connection comes from stories, from emotions. So the best emails are not, hey, here's what's happening. The best emails are, I was sitting with my daughter today and I noticed that she really was fed up with eating omelets for the 19th time over breakfast. So I asked her, eve, what's going on? And she said this and this and this and this got me reflecting that human story. AI doesn't know. So we have the message of the email. Try this program on conscious parenting. This really helped me. It's on your mindvalley membership. But the story part of it, that's coming from my soul, that's coming from my heart. When you combine both, that's when you get really major results.
It's real communication.
But also keep in mind that AI isn't alien from us. It is us.
Yes. It's an extension of who we are.
It's an extension of our collective creativity as a species. AI is a layer on top of our species, and it's literally causing our brains to communicate together in the most beautiful way. Right, right.
The other thing that I'm concerned about, like with ChatGPT, they have found that it has, like, racial biases in it, you know, and things of that particular nature.
Right.
So we have to be careful.
It's learning that from what it observes on the Internet.
Right.
But they are adding things to balance it out. Right. Remember when Google launched its image generation engine? The funny thing about that engine was they made it too. They made it too woke. If you asked it to draw any historical figure, it made that historical figure black or brown. Draw Napoleon. It was a black Napoleon.
Napoleon wasn't black.
Everyone was black or brown. You don't want Napoleon to be black. He wasn't a good man.
And they also recently they put in all of these women's pictures and it came out description as men.
You know, that, that I don't know.
I just saw an interview with these, these women that were talking about that. So I know there's some kinks and it has to be worked out.
Yeah. And the reverse also happens when Microsoft released the original AI chatbot on Twitter. This was many, many years ago. It was racist.
Yeah.
Because it read everything on Twitter and it concluded, okay, this is how I'm going to behave. And Microsoft had.
And now it's going to be worse with X.
Right.
Beautiful. So you've managed in mindvalley to create a wonderful integration with the best of AI.
AI is a hot topic and it's beautiful and I love it, we're composing music with A.I. we're creating art with A.I. it's incredible.
And are you trademarking this? No, it just belongs to AI Yeah.
There are things that you create through AI that you cannot trademark. I mean, a lot of these laws are still emerging.
Right, Right. There's no mandates yet. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I think, I think the world is still figuring it out. And you know, now with Elon Musk and government, and he's the creator of X AI, which is actually really remarkable.
Yeah.
We're using some of the APIs right now for an incredible new tool we are building. Things are going to change again. We just don't know.
We don't know.
But what's happening, which is really interesting, is that AI is developing so fast, so fast that people are not catching up. People think, oh, I'm using ChatGPT, I'm using AI no, no, no, no, no.
It is, it's already.
Yes, yes, yes, yes. AI agents are going to be.
Put you on pause about it. What are you concerned about?
I. What I want to do is help. I'm not concerned about A.I.
Okay.
I actually believe that the odds of A.I. going renegade and, and taking over humanity as we see in the movies Terminator and very, very, very slim. Very, very, very, very, very slim. What I'm concerned about is AI being used in weaponry already. Countries like China, I'm sure you've seen the videos, are deploying robotic dogs with guns on top of them. Right. And that seems very dystopian and scary. I don't know if we want to go there. So what I'm concerned about is the rate of exponential growth of technology is giving us incredible power to create, but it's also giving us incredible power to destroy.
Right.
Think about this. If you want to blow up a building, you can strap some C4 explosives to a drone, fly it into a building. For less than $1,000, you can blow up a building. What's preventing people from doing that? Consciousness. So this is a quote from Tom Chi, who's the co founder of Google X. He gave a talk in my office and he said this. He said if we don't accelerate human consciousness exponentially, like we're accelerating consciousness technology, we risk becoming a species with low consciousness and incredibly powerful technologies that can destroy.
Yeah.
And that could mean our doom.
I've been saying that for years. High tech, low touch.
Exactly.
Because everything, you know, even with you look, you look at guns, you look at machine guns, you look at nuclear weapons, all of that has extended way beyond Humankind.
Exactly.
I mean, you've got mindvalley. You know, I've got a garbage sometimes in a bubble about the expansion of consciousness when so many people out there are unawake.
Right.
And in the wrong hands, AI can be used, as you just described, to destroy rather than to build.
And if you want to see an example of this, and this is not political, this is just facts. Yes. Look at the easy availability of assault weapons in America.
Right?
Right. And the vast majority of mass shootings are happening because of assault weapons.
Right.
Yet for some crazy reason in America, we can't ban them. We're giving powerful weapons to a society that doesn't yet have the consciousness to use them responsibly. Over 80% of Americans want to see a ban, but because of politics, that ban hasn't happened yet. And that is insanity.
And that's money in politics. It's not just politics.
It's money in politics.
Right. It's actually lobbyists who are paying.
The NRA spends $30 million a year lobbying to put these deadly weapons, to make these deadly weapons easily accessible.
Absolutely.
At least $30 million a year that we know of.
Which. Which begs the question. We have to definitely increase the expansion of power.
Exactly.
Which is what we're doing.
Right.
I mean, that's a promise we have kept to our souls when we incarnated here. Because without that, we're basically Neanderthals running around with a big stick that can kill people.
Yeah. So what happens if we take those assault weapons and we put them on new robotic technologies which are coming out. Right. I mean, that's insane. Imagine people having robotic humanoids or robotic dogs with assault weapons on them. And that's where the laws have to evolve. And we have to also start educating people and elevating human consciousness.
What do you personally, what do you do when. I mean, I know you have your spiritual practices, Right. When, when things get a little flustered for you? I mean, how do you take back your mind?
Oh, okay, that, that, that's really interesting. So when things get flustered for me, I notice. I notice. I can feel it. And sometimes it happens just from drinking too much coffee. And, and sometimes it's. It's, you know, something's going wrong in business.
Right.
How I take back my mind is there are three different protocols I use. So one is we developed a set of supplements that are mood. Mood adjusting supplements.
Right.
They call mindvalley states mindvalleystates.com so I take the Zen pill and it instantly relaxes me because your Mind is a function of biochemistry and then learned emotion.
Right.
So you get the biochemistry. Right. For example, you know why I like doing podcasts with. With tea? Green tea, for example, contains L theanine.
Absolutely.
L theanine instantly relaxes you. But a supplement, a pill with L theanine is like 20 cups of green te. So you're getting this deep relaxation. You're adjusting your biochemistry, reducing cortisol, which you know is elevated when you drink a lot of caffeine. The second thing I do is learned behavior. So learned behavior is any type of protocol or any type of understanding that allows you to interpret your moods. Right.
So you can actually separate yourself from it.
So when I feel my heart beating, rather than then go, oh, that's anxiety, I have learned to label it excitement. That's easier to control. It's a more positive understanding. And through that learned behavior, I'm able to manage it. There was a study done on this when they. So in this study, this psychologist was looking at students who were taking the GRE, okay, the graduate exam. The average score for the GRE is 710. And he noticed that people who were taking the GRE would experience anxiety, the same biochemistry that they would experience if they were running onto the football field. But when they were running to the football field, it's excitement. When they're sitting for an exam, it's anxiety. So he stuck a piece of paper on the examination wall. He did two control groups, and in one room, the paper said this. It is absolutely normal to feel some form of anxiety as you sit down to take the gre. Just understand that feeling anxiety doesn't mean your scores will go down. In many cases, it will. It may cause your scores to go up. So relax, accept it, and good luck with your exams. Roughly. That was roughly what the paper said. People who read that paper, in 30 seconds, their scores went up 9%. Their average score went from 710 to 770, just from reframing what was going on into something more positive. So that's the second thing. The third thing is meditation or even taking an afternoon nap. That's perfectly okay. I might nap or I might meditate. And that's what I do.
Absolutely. You're giving me back exactly what I do. I reframe. Anxiousness goes to excitement.
Right.
And then excitement goes to enthusiasm.
Yeah.
Because you can't destroy energy, can only be transmuted. So once you reframe it and see it differently, it changes its frequency.
Right.
So you're no longer anxious now. Oh, I can't Wait. And then it becomes enthused. I'm in tune with this presence that uses me.
I love that word. Reframe. Beautiful.
Yeah, I was about to say it. You said it. I said you're reframing.
Yeah. Yeah.
So what's, what's new? What's next for you?
So we are working on some cutting edge AI to help improve human education. Currently, the way the education model works is that you are going to a school and a university that will teach you a government constructed curriculum. What we're looking to build, it's called indoctrination. Yeah. What we're looking to build is a way where we can allow human beings to tap into their soul, to unplug from societal conditioning and truly, in a matter of just a few hours, get really clear on their life vision. Okay. Their life vision, their life plan, who they want to be, what they want to accomplish, their contribution to the world, as well as develop an understanding of where they are doing well and a realistic understanding of where you're maybe not doing as well. Maybe your health is collapsing, you're making money, but your health is collapsing. You aren't getting enough sleep. You're addicted to something. Based on that and an AI that we're building, we now customize the education and the AI will guide you. It will say, michael, based on your goals, this morning, for your learning time, I want you to understand this idea from Socrates. Okay? This is what you're going to learn. And then it might also feed you a video from mindvalley. It might feed you a specific meditation. And then based on your goals, it looks at everything that's been produced in the world today on the Internet, and it says, and by the way, this article, this new scientific study on metabolic efficiency might be useful to you. Andrew Huberman just discussed it on his podcast. And you said, Michael, that you're looking to drop a few pounds. Well, why don't you try this approach? Okay, so we are making education real time.
That's beautiful.
Okay. We are tying it to your visions of who you are. And we're bringing in world class teachers, you included, to teach students.
Right.
If we can pull this off. And of course, this is a big, massive, massive, massive project. If we can pull this off, nobody needs to go to college anymore.
Yeah, but it's. No, it's not necessary. Yeah, because most people aren't being taught to tap into their vision.
Right.
They're being taught the, the, the governmental aspect of education. Reading, writing, arithmetic. But for what purpose? And you and I both know that we've arrived here on the planet as spiritual beings having a human incarnation to. To find our vision. I like to say that we actually made a promise before we got here to remember why we came in order to up level that vision, that possibility and express it. But you're right. They're not learning that in high school, not learning that in college. They're learning to get the minimum, to get a maximum job. And they end up being miserable, they end up being unhealthy, they end up being unhappy regardless of how high the IQ is because they haven't tapped into their vision.
Exactly. It is crazy how many people have genius level IQs and are miserable.
Miserable. Harvard did a study that following 30 years of people with the highest IQs. There was no relationship to IQ and happiness or success, right?
No relationship to success?
No.
Wow.
Success or happiness or health.
Wow. I did not know that. Yeah.
So that I call it aq. AQ is availability quotient. How available are you to understanding who you are, your relationship to the universe, your relationship to the universal laws? If you're available, even if you don't know what that even means, Happiness, success, health begins to reign supreme in one's life. So you're doing this in education. It's powerful. And how soon shall we see this on the market?
I think it's going to take us two years.
Two years from now?
Two years?
With AI, it'd probably be a year.
Yeah, yeah.
You're gonna keep feeding it? Yeah, yeah.
But. But we're doing good. Oh, our app already got recognized by Apple and our app is now on all, all new Apple devices that you will as a demo app in 200, 000 Apple stores around the world.
Apple, which is the app?
It's the mindvalley app.
Oh yeah, the.
Oh, good. Yeah, it just got recognized by Apple and our new.
And you've done a great job.
And a new product, it's called Workway by mindvalley. It's for businesses just got recognized by Microsoft. So it's one of 50 apps globally selected by Microsoft to be included in the new Microsoft Teams.
Fantastic.
So, yeah, we're really, really proud of our current progress in app development.
It's beautiful.
And the purpose of the app really is not the app. It's really just a beautiful learning experience.
Yeah. Now I'm glad to be a part of it. I mean, I go around the world and people come up to you all the time. Oh, I've just taken your class on mindvalley.
That's great.
Changed My life.
Hundreds of thousands of people are taking your class in Mind Valley.
That's fantastic. Beautiful. So as we bring this to a close, anything you want to say to these people? That something I didn't ask, that you probably want to.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
You know, please.
I am an optimistic futurist, so I believe that describe myself. Despite what has happened in the world, no matter who you voted for for the election, the world is getting better at a stunningly good rate.
Yeah.
So again, I hope you check out stuff from mindvalley. But two books I read recently which I think are really good to read if anyone is feeling a little bit anxiety on the world. One is called Factfulness. Factfulness, right. And it talks about the reality of how good the world is, but how the average person in the Western world underestimates the world to such a degree that in this quiz that they have in the book, monkeys tossing dots outperform PhDs because even the smartest people in America are wrong about how good the world is becoming. Because of our negative news.
Right, because of the negative news. Absolutely.
And the second book is by Steven Pinker. Gosh, what is it called? Can I quickly pull this up?
Absolutely.
Steven Pinker's new book. So Steven Pinker, again is a futuristic. And his new book is called Enlightenment now, the Case for Reason, Science, Humanism and Progress. And Enlightenment now shows that there is such a thing as progressophobia. And progressophobia is the fear of where we are going. But the reality is the world is moving in an incredible pace.
I agree.
Crime is going down. Most Americans think it's going up.
They think it's going up.
Terrorism is going down.
Politics. That's how they keep people in fear in order to. To manipulate them.
Exactly, exactly. People are. The world is safer and safer and safer than. Yep. And even while people complain about inflation, there is something really unique happening. I mean, look. Look at this iPhone, right? This iPhone is a video recorder. It is a television, it is a radio, it is a Walkman, it is a game console, it is a flashlight all in one. Right, Right. And you go back to the 19, people say, oh, it was better in the 1950s, 1960s, 1960s. You had to buy all of these different products together. It would fill this entire table. It would be significantly more expensive than what you pay for just a decent iPhone today. Absolutely right. So our ability to access good things is actually dropping, right? Yes. The price of food has gone up. Wages have also gone up. And so. But people, because they are reminded the way politics Works is politicians have to constantly remind you of how bad things are right now.
That's how they get elected.
So they get elected. But that causes so many people to fall into this trap of thinking that the world is going downhill.
Absolutely.
It is not.
I'm white with you 100%. As we look at the arc of the last 40 years, the things we're talking about now were woo, woo. 40 years ago, you know, somebody sitting, meditating, having a vision, having, you know, that was. It was crazy. Now it's commonplace experience. Little kids know about the law of attraction.
Right.
They know about going in and tapping into their intuition. Everything is evolving at a very fast pace.
Yeah.
And people like yourself get to articulate not only how good it is, but how good it can be.
Right.
If we actually do the work necessary.
I see.
Yeah.
Yeah, absolutely.
It's not going to just happen. I say it happens just according to our participation in a universe that responds to us constantly. Good job, Vishen.
Thank you, Michael.
Good job. It's always good hanging out with you.
Yeah, likewise.
Yeah. Hey, this is Vision Mindvalley. Think about that. Vishen Lakhiani, founder of Mindvalley, used his own intuition to actually leave Silicon Valley. Start spiritual education for the masses. So they will not be asses. So they'll rise up and activate their full potential.

And this is our opportunity to just be still for a moment. Go through a period of self reflection, introspection that leads to transpection. Talking about the art and science of meditation. We're going to take just a few.
Moments.
To turn within so that it becomes a new start in our life. Do you realize that's what meditation does? When we're caught up in the swirl of the world of phenomena, the world of fake news, a world of just a new cycle which much of that is given to make people stay in fear that they can be easily controlled. We have to take back our mind. We have to pull away from that and come back to our soulful center and begin our life again every day and sometimes a couple of times a day. Close your eyes with me at this moment. Pull your attention away from the world as it appears to be oftentimes just phenomena swirling around from thought forms of individuals who feel that they're separate from life. Not you, not here, not now. We're turning within. We're giving ourselves an inner prompt to wake up to our glorious nature. Regardless of what may be happening outside of us or the appearance of outside of us. We're giving ourselves an inner prompt. It's time to wake up. It's time to wake up from the intoxicated sleepwalking. It's time to wake up to our real nature and our real being. That's our intention, to wake up. We embrace our attention around our intention. We wake up to our glorious nature. We're aware that the body's breathing which keeps us present. We're aware of our intention. We allow ourselves to become very quiet and very still, not longing for something in the future, but appreciating that in this moment all of our needs are met, we are safe and secure, and every single thing is working together for our individual and for our collective good. Sit in this feeling tone for a few moments, Sam. If your mind is starting to run away with you, bring your attention back to your intention sacred breath and give yourself the inner prompt. It's time to wake up to my glorious nature, my super soul self, my higher self. I'm waking up. We allow ourselves to be grateful and thankful for these precious moments, stealing away from the world of phenomena and coming to a greater coherence with the fundamental harmony of the universe. We feel renewed and we go out back into the world with the eternal in our step. It's happening now. And so it is.
Amen.
You slowly open your eyes. Just give thanks for these precious moments. Take this inner shower out into the world, this inner cleansing. Peace and blessings. Your time is very valuable, so I want to thank you for lending us your ear and participating in taking back your mind.
