Does your team, and that means your leaders, managers, staff, or if you are a membership organization, that would be the members of your organization, as in an association or a church, for example. If your team more often than not experiences high levels of frustration as they pursue their strategic objectives, if more often than not they run into roadblocks, resistance, and rejection as they push forward to reach their strategic objectives, then I am the speaker, trainer, that you're looking for. Now that's a big claim. That's a big claim. And legitimately, many other speakers and trainers can make the very same claim. So why me? My name is Walter V. Murray. Why Dr. Murray above all the other speakers and trainers that you may choose to help alleviate the frustration that your team faces As they pursue strategic objectives. Why Dr. Walter Vernon Murray? Let me give you the Cliff Notes version, the short version. Here's the short version. If your task is to find a speaker that can alleviate or eliminate the frustration that your team experiences as they pursue strategic goals and objectives, then I am the speaker that you're looking for. Why? Because I can help them alleviate or eliminate that frustration by drilling down on the 3 deadly R's that decelerate the pursuit of strategic goals and objectives. You know, that's slowing it down, bringing it to a screeching halt. The 3 deadly R's that decelerate strategic objectives. I could drill down on that and then I will help to replace the decelerators with accelerators. You hear me talk a lot about the acceleration. There are 3 tracks or 3 themes that I will help them get a grasp of that help them implement. Accelerating strategy implementation, accelerating team excellence, and accelerating spiritual and personal growth, especially in nonprofit religious organizations. We'll unpack all of these here as we go into this presentation. But again, to summarize, if you're looking for a speaker to help alleviate or eliminate the frustration that your team, leaders, managers, members, and staff experience as they pursue strategic goals and objectives, then I am your solution because I will help them drill down on what's causing the frustration, the 3 deadly R's, identify those decelerators, replace them with accelerators so they can move ahead fast, accelerated, full speed ahead to achieving their strategic goals and objectives. So that's me, but how do I get to that? That's the short Cliff Notes version. So, so hang around with me for a minute. Let me just explain and unpack how we get to that. This short version of why I am the speaker that you're looking for. To make sure that my audiences get the very best listening and learning experience, I'm very selective who I speak for and who I speak to. And I'm sure that you are also very selective of who you listen to or who you invite to speak to your team or your organization, and you should be very selective. So I have an alignment question process that helps me as a speaker and you, the listener, figure out if we are a match made in heaven. Now I know my wife is probably not going to want me to say that because she and I, we are the match made in heaven. But that's a whole other subject. The alignment question I ask myself when I try to align or match myself as a speaker to you, the audience, or you, the listener, is: Can I speak to your needs and your desires? Does my experience and expertise align with the Audiences align with your team's most urgent and compelling need, the thing that causes them the most frustration. Does my expertise and experience help to alleviate, address that thing? And so I am 100% convinced, passionately believe that I have found the answer to this question. In fact, I know I have. See, because the answer has emerged from decades of working with organizations, with business leaders, with managers, business owners, as well as with their team members and their staff. The answer has emerged from my interaction, my observation To this question, what is my audience's most compelling need and desire? The answer to that question has been confirmed and reaffirmed over and over again over the decades of my interaction with business owners, leaders, and team members. So what's the answer? The answer The one compelling urgent need is the need for strategy acceleration. That is the point of intersection between my expertise, experience, and the leaders, managers, business owners, team members, and staff that I've spoken to, interacted with, observed over the last 3 or so decades. We all want to get the job done faster. Viscerally, you probably feel that, right? I mean, even right now as I'm standing here speaking to you, you want me to get done fast. Get to the point. We all have this need. And when you translate that need for acceleration into a strategic planning context, the impact has enormous consequences. So if you are a leader or manager, staff or member, I'm sure you have a vision and a strategy to make yourself, to make your team or your organization better tomorrow than you are today. However you measure better, and in the context of business organizations, we talk about the 3 I's. You measure better as better impact, a better image, a better income. However you measure better, you have a vision and a strategy to get your organization better tomorrow than you are today, right? And the challenge is the need and the desire, this compelling need is that tomorrow can't get here fast enough. We want to make this change faster rather than slower. Instinctively, we all want that. But the challenge that we run into that creates this need is as we are implementing strategy, as your team members, your leaders, your managers, your staff, the members in your organization, as you are implementing strategy to achieve the vision of a better tomorrow, you keep running into roadblocks, resistance, and rejections. I call them the 3 deadly R's that decelerate or even destroy your vision and your strategy. And so we have this need to— how do we overcome these 3 deadly R's? And that's what I speak on. Is I help organizations identify what those 3 Rs are. And they show up in various ways, right? For a for-profit organization, it may show up in terms of ineffective KPIs. For a nonprofit organization, it may show up in the inability to engage volunteers to work in the cause of the organization. However those 3 deadly R's show up—roadblocks, resistance, and rejection—what I speak on is how to identify those 3 deadly R's that decelerate your strategy implementation and replace them with accelerators that help you get to your strategic objectives fast. That is the need. That intersects with my experience and my expertise. Even as we speak right now, you could probably think of some significant roadblock that you, your organization, a department within your organization, members within your organization, you could probably think and visualize a significant roadblock, significant resistance, or some type of significant rejection that has decelerated the achievement of your strategic objectives? Can't you? I mean, think about it. Just take a minute. Here's an example from one of my speaking engagements. Went to this organization, talked about me coming in and doing a speaking engagement for their team. And in the course of— and this is what I do, is I have this pre-conversation I have this pre-conversation with you, the organization, or if you are the person that is tasked with finding a speaker, I have this pre-conversation to make sure I understand what your need is and how that need for strategy implementation shows up. And so in this conversation, what I found out was that this organization, and it was a nonprofit community service organization, this organization had some challenges or some frustrations in getting their membership, their members mobilized, organized, engaged. In fact, the term that they used was energetically engaged, right? They were getting engagement, but it was lacking this fire and this enthusiasm. So he says, could you do a presentation on how to create energetic engagement? Right? So I went down to Orlando, Florida. They brought together about 2,000+ of their departmental senior and mid-level leaders. And so these were the 2,500 leaders or so, 2,500 senior leaders, mid-level leaders, directors who were going to be responsible to energetically engage the 300,000-400,000 members, right? And so they asked me to speak on creating energetic engagement. So again, this is just an example of how I speak to the needs of an organization. Because keep in mind, energetic engagement is key in helping that organization achieve its objectives. Particularly being a nonprofit volunteer, mostly membership organization, the path to achieving strategic objectives when right through engagement. It wasn't going to get done if the members didn't do it. And so here I was speaking to a need of how do we accelerate reaching our strategic objectives by identifying what was the resistance, what was the roadblock, what was the rejection, and then replacing those R's with strategy accelerators. Right? So this is the need and desire that I speak to. And if your team, your organization, or your audience has this need to accelerate strategy, to remove those 3 deadly Rs, replace them with accelerators, and without being presumptuous or too braggadocious, I am probably the best speaker to meet that need. That's a big claim, right? Big claim. Why? Why? How do I uniquely position myself to be one of the best speakers and trainers when it comes to the issue of strategy acceleration, when it comes to removing the pain, frustration that is usually experienced when members of your team, leadership, management, staff members, when they run up against these roadblocks? Why am I positioned as the leading speaker in this space, or one of the leading speakers in this space? Here's a couple reasons. Personally, I've been there. I've been there where I in my businesses, and I have, as you look at my bio, founder, owner, leader of several successful organizations. And so in those organizations, time and time again, I've encountered or come face to face with those 3 Rs: roadblocks, resistance, and rejection that threaten to decelerate my strategy implementation, threatened to slow me down or completely prevent me from achieving my strategic objectives. I've been there and successfully implemented strategies to overcome those 3 R's. Now, now here's the thing. In my 30-plus years in business, I've also come face to face with those 3 R's and in some of my unsuccessful businesses did not successfully navigate my way through and over those 3 R's. And even in that failure, I've learned some valuable lessons that makes me even more equipped to help your members, your leaders, managers, and owners to overcome the 3 R's. And one of my successful businesses, I accelerated strategy to expand into 4 states: Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee with 100+ employees. We did cumulatively about $300 million in gross sales between 1990 and 2008 when I did a strategic exit sale of that business. Again, accelerating strategy to overcome the 3 R's hands-on experience qualifies me uniquely to help your team members do the same thing in their scope. But not only that, I have helped because one of my successful businesses today is Accelerate Strategy and Leadership Inc. And that, and that by itself should tell you why I do what I do. In the last 30 years or so, I've helped thousands of business owners and leaders and managers and team members to overcome these 3 Rs. So I've done it for myself, I've done it for others, but I've also achieved the highest level of academic rigor in the areas of leadership and strategy. I hold 2 doctoral degrees in organizational strategy and leadership and public policy and leadership. Also supplemented that with rigorous certificate training, with rigorous certifications from Harvard Business School, from Cornell University in the areas of leadership and organizational strategy. I'm also a John Maxwell trained speaker and leadership coach. So again, not only do I have the hands-on experience doing it for myself, the hands-on experience in helping others to do it, and when I say do it, I mean accelerate strategy. I also have the academic rigor that supports or balances off the hands-on experience. I've written 7 books and hundreds of professional and leadership strategy guides and best practices training programs, and some social proof, some social proof, right? Is this just me talking about myself? Well, yes, I am talking about myself, but They're on my YouTube channel, and you can probably guess the name, Accelerate Strategy and Leadership. What, we're at 55,000, 54,000, 55,000 subscribers. These are business owners, business leaders, managers, team members who have that need to accelerate strategy and have found the content on my YouTube channel to be very helpful in eliminating that frustration to be very helpful in accelerating strategy. 53,000, 54,000 subscribers, 1.5, 1.6 million viewers, views of my content. In fact, when you get a chance, just go over and subscribe. Accelerate Strategy and Leadership. On LinkedIn where my audience is primarily 100% business owners, leaders, managers, 5,000-6,000 followers, again, all coming to my LinkedIn page and getting great value to meet their need for strategy acceleration. So as you probably could tell, I have a passion to help others accelerate strategy. There's nothing that really gives me more joy in working with an organization, speaking to an audience who come into that meeting looking for answers, and I could tell they're frustrated by the feedback. And again, my interact My speaking engagements are very interactive, so in the feedback I could tell that there is a high level of frustration in the deceleration of their strategy implementation. They just feel like there's something holding them back. And at the end of my presentations, there's nothing that gives me as much joy and fulfillment to see them leave with some workable solutions that will help them to fast-track and accelerate their strategy to get to that better place tomorrow faster. I mean, that's what I do this for, right? And so I'm looking forward to having a conversation with you where we could give your team members, your leaders, managers, staff, and members of your organization, we could give them that same experience of learning some best practices, some paradigm shifts that will help them to accelerate strategy, get to their goals faster and more efficiently, and just not have to deal with the frustration of a decelerated strategy implementation. Alright, or what I call a dysfunctional strategy implementation. So now that you understand the need and desire that I speak to, which is the need and desire to accelerate strategy, overcoming the roadblocks, resistance, and rejection to strategy implementation. That's what I speak to. That's the need I address. I still want to narrow it down a little bit more just to be sure, absolutely sure that I'm a good match to meet your needs, right? That we are a great match made in heaven for each other. So I'm going to narrow it down this way. So if you have this need for strategy acceleration, the members of your organization, leaders, managers, staff, have a need to accelerate strategy to overcome the 3 Rs of roadblocks, resistance, and rejection, and you are a corporation, for-profit or nonprofit, or a professional association, college or university, or church, then you are a perfect match.
