In this Black History Month vlog, Walter V. Murray (CPA, DBA, PhD) uses the recurring metaphor “Black cheese” to describe the combined power of Black economics, entrepreneurship, and wealth. He highlights prominent Black figures—Oprah Winfrey, Jay‑Z, LeBron James, David Stewart, and Robert Smith—detailing their business ventures, investment portfolios, and the billions of dollars they have generated, illustrating how they embody and amplify Black cheese. Murray also notes that many wealthy white entrepreneurs (Mark Cuban, Jeff Bezos, Mackenzie Scott) recognize and support this Black wealth, arguing that the growth of Black cheese benefits the broader economy. The vlog then shifts to everyday examples: Jerry, a fashion‑design entrepreneur, and Joan, a bakery owner, who each run profitable Black‑owned businesses. Throughout, Murray promotes his own book, The Black Cheese, and offers free strategic guides for minority‑owned businesses, urging viewers to purchase the book and sign up for the resources to build, protect, and expand their own Black cheese.
