Do you legally need a habitation check on your motorhome or campervan? Nope, it is not a legal requirement. You do not need one when you buy your van, when you own your van, or when you sell your van, unless of course it's asked for by your insurance company. But it is not a legal requirement whether you're traveling around the UK or whether you're planning to go into France or further on into Europe. Nowhere legally requires you to have one. We do recommend that you have them though, whether or not it's a legal requirement. They are a really, really useful tool in your arsenal to make sure that your motorhome maintenance is up to standard, whether you use your van regularly or not, and especially if you don't use it often. It's a really great way of making sure there's no underlying problems which may have started since the last check, and you need to get it fixed as soon as possible. So we recommend getting one done every year, and especially before you buy your next van. Don't forget, you can grab your free motorhome checklist below, and I'll see you on the next video. Bye!
