So you want to learn. In Lust We Trust by Steve Lacy. You've come to the right place. I'll show you how it's done and then I'll show you how it's done.
I want to all over my body Give some love to be my dove Let me get inside of your cold Let me live inside of your core Let me hide inside of your core Let me live inside of your core.
Oh, hey, I'm a little bit closer. Now let's get into it. Our first chord, D minor 9. You're going to strum that twice, followed by a B minor 7. And I'm playing it like this specifically because when I'm strumming it, this middle, this second string, your A string is not getting hit. You're muting it with your middle finger. So it's. Your first two chords sound like this, and this one, it's a little weird to play with your hand, but in the context of the other chords, it's actually very comfortable. Steve Lacy, he's just such a G for this progression. Then we're gonna play an E minor 7. Probably haven't played it like this before. And then it's gonna go to an E minor 9. So it's gonna go from this note, it's gonna come down to this note. And the strumming pattern for this one is a little bit different than the other ones. So before it was down, down, down, down. Now we're going to go down, down.
Up.
Down, or more like.
Down, down, up.
And when I'm saying down, down, up, this is assuming that your hand is coming up and down in a regular fashion. So it's being very consistent. I recommend if that part's tripping you up, just practice doing that chord by itself. It'll sound like this. So that's the first part. Great. Now it's time to move on to the second part, which is going to take us down here to our C9 chord. But we're only going to play three of those notes. You're going to play the notes on your A, your G and your B string. So not the one on your D string. See how this middle finger is muting it? So it's just going to be C9 down chromatically, exact same shape, down a half step. And then you're going to go to a classic E minor shape. And the rhythm for that last chord is down, up, up, down, up, up, down. And then that's going to repeat. So the first sounds like this. So the second time it's a little bit different. Instead of staying on this E minor the whole time, you're going to go up to the G minor 9 on the second strum. So you're going to go and play it like this, with the same shape that we've been using with this middle finger down the ring fingers barring. And our pinky is now free up here to play this high A note. So it sounds like this. This is the. I'll just play it from the beginning of the last part. So you see, the rhythm is exactly the same. When you have either the E minor staying or the G minor that's going to switch, things change. So then the third time is the same as the first time. And the fourth time is a little bit different than the second time. So it sounds like this. This is just the third and the fourth time. And then every piece to the top. Okay. That should be everything you need. Remember, to really embody the spirit of Seed Lacy. Wear your guitar really high, be sexy, and play a lot of guitar. Bye. If you have any other requests, you know where to leave them.
