Are you a dentist planning to sell your practice in the next five years? If so, you'll find this podcast extremely valuable. It's the Dental Practice Sale podcast and I'm your host, Wes Reed. I'm a dental CPA and certified financial planner, and I've been helping dentists transition into and out of dental practices for 15 years. Although dental practices are small businesses, the dental practice sale is nonetheless a complicated experience for both seller and buyer, and in today's market, that complication is only increasing with the rise of large group and corporate dentistry. How can you stage your practice for a successful sale? How can you maximize your equity? How can you make the transition smooth for staff and patients? Is selling to a dental service or dental partnership organization the right decision for you? How do you even interpret all the language in a DSO buyout proposal or a DPO partnership proposal? Words like ebitda, share class, dilution, earnouts, equity swaps, and multiples can be difficult to understand. This podcast attempts attempts to explain these terms and give context to them. Additionally, we'll interview former dentists that sold their practice both to private and institutional buyers. You'll hear firsthand from these former dental practice owners the lessons they learned when they sold their dental practice. This show is brought to you by Practice Orbit. Practice Orbit is the first online website bringing sellers and buyers of dental practices together. Sort of like an mls, but for dental practices, and it allows sellers to inexpensively and anonymously present their practice with a beautiful online profile to a pool of qualified buyers. Subscribe to this podcast to get new episode feeds and be sure to check out our show notes where you'll find episode descriptions and helpful resources. Thanks for tuning in.
