Designers shouldn't spend time on data entry and manual tasks. Their expertise matters for building usable, interactive, engaging products that actually compete on user experience, not for routine work that doesn't require their skills.
Are you paying your designers to do data entry and manual synchronization? Are you paying them to be able to make your product better? I think it's the latter. Pretty sure it's the latter, right? So if you're skeptical about the importance and the growth of leaning into user experience, there's certainly a whole bunch of people over in the other room and people in this room and a whole community of enterprises whose whole business model model is being able to serve up information in a more usable, in a more interactive, in a more engaging way. So something to think about.
