In this podcast episode, host Will Richardson explains why he is building an ambassador network for sustainability professionals. He emphasizes the need to connect and collaborate with peers, offering a community where members can earn referral income, co‑host webinars, and engage in joint speaking events. Richardson highlights that sustainability roles are often under‑paid and argues that collective effort and shared skill sets can increase both impact and financial rewards. He invites listeners to click the link in the show notes to join the network and to access his free Substack, which curates top sustainability stories and breaks down current business issues in practical terms.

Hey, thanks so much for listening. I would love to be able to help you more on what it is that you are listening to and why you're listening to, to me. If you could click on the link in the show notes, that would be awesome because it will help me define what it is that we should be talking about on this podcast. So many people are asking me, why am I trying to grow an ambassador network? If truth be told, it's because I want to be able to talk to you. It's because I want to be able to connect with fellow sustainability professionals. But equally, I want to give back to society and to you who are probably generating an income that is less than you potentially could have generated elsewhere. So I think we all need to be working together. I've been doing this for long enough to know that the sustainability professional, you know, job isn't the most well-paid job. I know that. But equally, I think it will change. And I think that if we work together and we collaborate on different projects and we all use our own unique skill sets, then I believe that we will make more of an impact on what it is that we do. And that's the reason why I'm doing this. It's so that you can join a community. You can earn money through referrals. We can collaborate on webinars and Do joint speaking events, and you can network with other individuals that do either what you do or something similar that you could potentially collaborate on. That's the reason why I'm doing this.
