We're just supposed to know how to do everything right, but there's really no instruction manual, truly. So a doula is there to hold your hand and to help you along the journey.
The feeling that I felt having an empowered birth and knowing that I had— I was like, I did it.
We hope to empower everyone so that they feel that they can demand, no, actually, I want to stay on the floor, or I want to get in the bed, or have an epidural, or not have an epidural.
If you are open and willing, then having a doula is a really great way to help guide you into that new aspect of yourself that's going to be born when you have a baby.
