Foreign. Is a global innovation consulting company that partners with some of the largest brands on creating innovation strategy, designing concepts for new products and services. And third would be developing new innovation capabilities to help teams and companies innovate as well.
I believe we're a company of thinkers and doers. Thinkers because we love to challenge the study school. We are a group of super curious people that truly believe in the power of having growth mindsets and doers because we don't really settle with having things on paper or a PowerPoint for that matter. We like to see our strategies and our ideas actually matter as products or services or new businesses in the actual markets. That being said, what we do is we support the biggest companies in the world acting this way as thinkers and doers. And to do so we leverage tools like Human Centered Design, design thinking or Agile. But we also leverage our brain power of international consultants all over the world.
Very international, very diverse team with tons of fantastic viewpoints as well as the flexibility to go beyond standard frameworks to customize to what would be most impactful for the client. So it's not about sticking with what we have done in the past, but figuring out together with the client how we can make it even better.
To me, Port of Innovation is an awesome company of excellent minds and energetic people who tackle clients innovation related problems. Working at Board of Innovation is amazing because of its people and kind of projects we work on. To me, I like to do things hands on and to solve problems and to be in an environment that constantly challenges and inspires me to grow. Board of Innovation provides me all of it. Plus people at Board of Innovation are helpful to each other and that makes it a very warm environment to work.
My job as a consultant with BOY has three main parts. First would be managing and acquiring new client relationships. So this would be growing and strengthening relationships with existing clients as well as meeting and talking to new prospects to see how we can support them through their journey of innovation. The second part of my role would be developing projects. So this will involve research work, developing materials that would be necessary for clients or just doing interviews. So it's really the part of developing the materials and the research that are necessary to support our projects. And the third row would be facilitating different workshops and different coaching sessions with the client to be able to guide them through the innovation process.
The environment that you're in makes you feel as though you're very empowered to make a difference in whatever projects that you're dealing with. And the team really, really cares about how you work and tries their best to foster environment where you're super productive in whatever that you do.
As an innovation consultant, you often work on clients innovation related problems which could involve designing sprints, workshop running shop tests, creating a validation roadmap. APEC in itself is very diverse, and working at APEC means you get to work with a lot of diversity, exposure to multiple cultures, multiple countries, and above all really exciting project.
So why join the APAC team? We are a very small but growing team within the region and we've taken a lot of interesting projects that just blew my mind. So I think if you head on to our website or LinkedIn page, you might find something that resonates with you and possibly you could be joining us in the future.
