From a strategic standpoint, I actually believe that leadership is stewardship and stewardship is two things at the same time. One is ensuring that everything is okay today. That's part of stewardship. But another part of stewardship is making sure that as you move towards the future, you're also prepared for that. So you have to make sure that the current stuff is working and the future facing stuff is working. That's the job of leadership. Especially in the environment that we are in today, where changes so much faster than before, it's very difficult to get away with just doing core innovation. You have to start thinking about transformational and sustaining innovations that take you towards the future.
