Dear Wits, I hope I didn't butter the face. Anyways, I will have an opportunity to work on it in Ireland. See this photo right this 60 year old maid celebrates St Patrick's Day with mum, baked Irish soda bread and shamrock leaves on a festive tablecloth. Embarrassing? Maybe a little, but I will come to that in a bit. My name is Zor and I'm the co founder of Scaling online business development platform and I'm also deputy head of Startup Support and Acceleration department for Innovation Agency Azerbaijan. I have been in innovation and tech industry for more than five years now, working closely with more than 100 startup teams from different corners of the world and their business and product development strategies. I have built relationships with public and private ecosystem players designing the implemented business development programs like acceleration and incubation, mentoring entrepreneur within the government and corporate organizations like BP, Coca Cola, Draper University in San Francisco and etc. Ever since I was a child, I have always found creative solutions and tackled the most ordinary challenges with the most extraordinary mates. Undoubtedly some of the qualities may be genetically transmitted but most of them are shaped and patterned by people around you. My grandma My grandma always told me that I should be special and change the world. Besides even realized that she was preaching me the essence of entrepreneurship and the importance of vision and mission. So much like Gulliver's travel, I embarked on a very alluring journey in pursuit of creating value. After returning from my year long military service, I started volunging for the first ever incubation entrepreneurship program using founded by Coca Cola Foundation. In a short period of time I was able to show great results which led me to being promoted to coordinator of Athenta. In this position I had the opportunity to organize the biggest youth entrepreneurship program called New Generation where my team and I work with more than 2,000 people for economic regions of Azerbaijan. The program lasted almost a year. Finance of the program will provide us a grant of 20k euro. The hard work paid off. New to bridge the project was highly appreciated by head of ZOON and a member of OECD Padukova to another company I worked for as the ecosystem catalyst of the year. While working for that centre, I not only had the director communicated with entrepreneurs to figure out the best way to support them, but also kept the center and its community going in the right direction through strategic partnerships and collaboration with private organizations like Coca Cola as well as the public entities like Minister of Youth as Republic of Azerbaijan, all of which eventually contributed to me becoming the CEO within a year. However, my entrepreneurial curiosity couldn't be limited by pure management and day to day repetitive work. My active involvement in innovative ecosystem had really started when I co founded my own startup back in 2018 called Cheviot. Although the ambitious idea of essentially being able to transform colors into sounds and vice versa wall was well received by experts, various jury members and art enthusiasts, it didn't come to life. Given the lack of technical expertise of our team, the project was awarded for Kaspersky award. Being once a passionate found in myself, I never stopped dreaming of making that idea a reality and continue supporting entrepreneurs from various backgrounds thus fulfilling my role and responsibility as an exopartition of this industry. Later I started a joint project we award with the leading bank Azra Tukbank to support female entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan and increase their representation in the business world. Equality and representation were always my priority. In 2019 in the partnership with UNT Azerbaijan, our team organised the biggest inclusivity hackathon in Azerbaijan for persons with special needs where more than 25 teams and 50 mentors participated. The official opening ceremony was announced by Leila Oliva, Vice President of the Hyder Aliyev Foundation. This symbolic step vividly acknowledged the importance and courage of this event. At the next step in my career progression I got offered to manage another innovation and entrepreneur center called Burama which is Azerbaijan business incubator that had recently gone under the administration of Innovation Agency Azerbaijan, a governmental agency responsible for regulating the innovative ecosystem where I also got recruited as a deputy head of Startup Support and Exploration department. Here I had opportunity to work with government organizations and an ecosystem player Participated in designing of Innovation map of Azerbaijan, facilitated the opening of the biggest startup community called Startup grind backward chapter 500 starter view now deploying E1 virtual reality technologies in universities Opening the first ever government architecture incubation center called Symbios under the administration of High Tech Park Making sure we're stimulating the gross entrepreneurship in the regions like Lankaran Wing facilitating the establishment of the startup Brian x Lankaran Charter and conducting certification accreditation initiative for innovation managers and university based entrepreneurship centers Designing the international capacity building programs for the developing countries like Uzbekistan. While working for Innovation Agency, my colleague and I have designed to contribute to eliminating inequality discrimination for the entrepreneurs by creating scaling live development platform for underrepresented communities. Our company is registered in Estonia and the reason why we want to establish this company is to discover and support entrepreneurs, guide them in creating successful companies at every stage and rely on their potential. With the help of our global community of entrepreneurs and network of mentors and partners. We closely work with startups helping them to enter new markets and be ready for investment. For example, two of the startup we worked with ended up in top three and 10 in fundamentals of Entrepreneurship pre acceleration program organized by the Silicon Valley Top Pre Accelerator called Draper University. This year we organized Scaling Startup boot Camp Zambia 2020 in partnership with more than 10 local ecosystem builders and received more than 60 applications only from Lusang which is the capital city of Zambia. We can proudly say that we are a female led company and we're going to do a great job. Actually, why study Now? I have always believed that practical skills should be backed with solid theoretical background. Sure, many people would argue that entrepreneurs cannot be taught. Maybe I believe that every advice or recommendation at least given by industry experts should not only embody his or her experience, but also be enriched with the comprehensive and academic approach. It's never and never late to start studying. Though I have been in this industry for more than five years, my entrepreneurial mind is always ready to venture out and risk. Moreover, I would like to put on a sheet of paper all my observations and theories about the story of ecosystem, society, value impact and knowledge exchange. I have been working on the research topic on innovation and sexuality. I crave to research the phenomenon that I call virgin consistent when some business ecosystem cannot be innovated due to psychological dissatisfaction of potential talents which in turn result in extreme shortage of human resource and cultural pattern of a nation which can leverage either the boost or the prioritisation of creativity and urge to innovate. The intention was obvious and I had to find a good university necessary to mention that my first introduction with Trinity College Dublin was at second year of my bachelor degree in translation where we had to write a small essay about Oscar Wilde who also had the privilege to study in this university. There were a couple of things which made my decision to be tcd. First of all, I do care about university ranking, especially degree ranking seems to be much more important for me. In this sense, TCC offers Master degree in Entrepreneurship which is in the top 19. Second of all, second of all, also history and network. I'm sure that TCD is a perfect junction of teaching history and numerous possibilities for entrepreneurs to connect. Of course, student life is another kid writing for me for my choice. Why Ireland? Ireland may sound a little bit funny, but as a child I was a real introvert who didn't follow trends purely because everyone else was doing so and refused to be mainstream. Being isolated from this community, I was looking for a new source of inspiration and motivation. This is when I got introduced to Irish music, culture, mythology, language and history. It's not surprising that I ended this infant. I tried to write a novel called Sar Neutnopad keeped a high risk girl who was looking for her lost parents. Silly I know that made me different from others, thus helping me to stand out and attract people's attention every day. These periods became very obvious, making me an ambassador of Irish conscience here around my friends and family. Frankly, I would definitely consider being admitted to tct. A truly full circle moment for me. I do believe that many people would like to have this opportunity to discount TCT and its net worth. As I later found out, I am the first applicant of from Azerbaijan to ever be accepted. If I'm not mistaken, I don't know. One of the main objectives when I started my studies in Ireland is the establishment of Azerbaijani Student Support Network which will play the role of ambassadorship for Azerbaijani students to know more about srz. As a result, to have a number of students from my home country, it's something that I do everywhere. Since sharing is the most important value for me, I want to talk a little bit about my ancestors. My ancestors played an important role in developing being the first journalist in society. Brothers printed several newspapers in our native language in the end of the 19th century and were driven out by rationing. By token, I proudly carried this surname. I believe that after two centuries I can finish their mission by making Azerbaijan the country they always wanted to live in. This is how it started St Patrick's Day with mumpai Irish Sudiprate and Shamrock Lee's on the faster time. Oklahoma. Embarrassing. Not anymore since you know my little story Slange.
