From the highest level, the perception of your brand has to bring in the right people. If I was on really techie startup-y podcasts all the time, if I was trying to get on Bloomberg or doing op-eds in TechCrunch all the time, I would be attracting a very different kind of community than the one that I've attracted. So the places where your brand is represented and how it's represented are going to be seen by different people depending on what those people like to consume and what they care about. The founder brand matters a lot too when it comes to the community. How your brand is perceived in the market will attract or detract people depending on how you show up.
