Someone reflects on how getting older brought patience and presence. They notice their senses sharpen when they're actually paying attention, and they can sit with something they love, like an HBO show, instead of jumping around like they used to.
The thing that— I think the thing that I'm learning as I get older is just how to be present, right? So like, and then when you're present, then like a lot of things sort of suddenly turn on, like your senses and everything. It's just listening becomes a little bit different, right?
Absolutely.
Absolutely. So, you know, I'm not trying to gain lessons off watching HBO. That's not my thing. But like, you know, when something connects with me, I can sort of like sit with it more now the older I get than maybe when I was a more impatient youth. Yeah.
