New YouTubers copying MrBeast's thumbnails and titles won't work because YouTube's algorithm treats them differently. The platform recommends established creators through browse and suggested videos to maximize watch time, but it won't risk new channels there since it can't predict if they'll keep viewers watching.

The thing that I, that I also see people get wrong a lot is they look at like the huge YouTubers like MrBeast or MrWhoseTheBoss, and they're like, wow, these popular YouTubers have millions and millions of subscribers. I should, you know, use the same types of thumbnails that they use. I should use the same types of titles that they use. What they don't understand is that there is a difference in how YouTube treats newer YouTubers and more experienced YouTubers. And traffic sources. So the larger YouTubers are always trying to target views from browse and views from suggested videos. Those are the traffic sources in which YouTube recommends your content to new people. YouTube's goal is to have people stay on YouTube for as long as possible. That's your, your, your session time. You want the longest session time as possible. And so it's going to recommend videos to people that they know will keep those people on YouTube for as long as possible. And that's kind of what the larger YouTubers are targeting so that when their video is suggested by YouTube, either on someone's homepage or on like these side panels for suggested videos, people will click on that when they see it. It's a very different strategy than for newer YouTubers because YouTube is not going to recommend your content as new— as a newer YouTuber because YouTube doesn't trust you. YouTube has no idea if your videos are good or not, if your videos are going to keep people on platform or not, so they're not going to recommend your videos.
