Hey, this is Aaron LeBauer from labouerconsulting.com I own a 100% cash based physical therapy practice in Greensboro, North Carolina. It's called Labourer Physical Therapy. I started my practice right after graduating PT school at Elon. And what everyone told me I needed to do was not only do I need to take insurance and then it's crazy to start a cash practice, but that you need to go buy physicians lunches, market to doctors, get patients in your practice. That was the prevailing thought. That was what everyone did. That's what my clinical instructors did, that's what the business owners did who were mentoring me. That was what was marketed in the physical therapy magazines and journals on business is market to physicians and this is how you do it, blah blah blah. Well, I tried it, it didn't work. I couldn't get a meeting with physicians without buying their whole office lunch, which is ridiculous. I'm a doctor of physical therapy, they're medical doctor. Beg and plead for patients? Like just send me patients. I'm great at treating back pain patients. No, there's so much more that you have to do when you have that meeting.
