The Best 10x Profit and Growth Strategy to Implement Right Now in Your Physical Therapy Business

In this presentation Aaron LeBauer delivers a step‑by‑step, motivational framework for physical therapy clinic owners to dramatically increase profit and freedom. He begins by stressing the necessity of clear, long‑term vision (1‑year, 3‑year, 10‑year) and then walks listeners through a diagnostic audit of their current business – revenue, patient volume, pricing, marketing effectiveness, personal time, and debt. LeBauer illustrates how to translate the vision into concrete, short‑term actions, using real client examples (Ben, Amanda) who added $10k‑$20k per month and scaled to multiple locations. He emphasizes leveraging warm audiences (e.g., partner gyms) for workshops, building repeatable marketing funnels, and delegating or automating operations so owners can take time off without losing income. The talk also covers succession planning, creating sellable assets, and the mindset of setting a “gap” goal that feels uncomfortable but achievable. Throughout, he urges immediate action, clarifies that modest revenue targets (e.g., $4k/month) are attainable, and frames the ultimate purpose as increasing impact while preserving family life.

Because if you don't know where you're going, you're never going to get there. Today, what I'm going to do is I'm going to share with you a truly transformational formula for taking your business and putting the afterburners on your business, putting the premium fuel in there, 10x in your business and growing it. You're probably struggling in your business in some way. It may not be that you don't have enough patience. It may be like someone who emailed me this morning said, aaron, my business is actually doing really well. I'm full and I have a wait list, but I don't have any time for my family. And if I take off, I don't make any money. If I go on vacation, I lose income and revenue. That's one of the number one problems that I used to have, was trying to decide to go to a PT conference. Number one, I was gonna have to take off during the week, like to go to PPS, had to take off, like Tuesday through Friday, paid 900 bucks to go to the conference, 600 bucks in here to belong to the thing. And then I was gonna have to take off, you know, the revenue. And I'm like, okay, I'm going. And how am I gonna go when all we're doing is talking about succession planning and insurance collections and all these things that didn't really apply to my business and so I could never justify it. Well, now if I want to go somewhere like fitness business summit, funnel hacking, live, summit of greatness, etc. And I know I'm going to go to an event or SSPT life, and I know I'm going to go learn some amazing things that are going to help my business and connect with amazing people. I, I don't have problems with it because when I take time off, we generate revenue in our business to take your business and add and 10x it to add or even just say, let's add $10,000 a month like Ben did his first three months after joining mastermind. He went from 22,000amonth to 32 and he's even. January was his biggest month, or Amanda did was she doubled her business. It has since tripled. It is what we really need to do is we need to know, where are you right now? So I need to know, like, where are you right now? How much revenue do you have? How many patients do you have? What marketing strategies are working and what things are you trying that are not working? And sometimes you won't know the answers to these. Sometimes it'll be really apparent. Sometimes you're too close to your business to be able to see it. Like, you're in it all day long, and it's sitting right in front of you, and you're like. And I had a student, we did this last week at the Mastermind. And she's like, oh, I'm thinking about going out and doing some new workshops at some of the CrossFit gyms, etc. What's the best way to go about it? I'm like, well, doesn't your husband own a gym? Yes. Okay, well, have you done the workshops at his gym yet? No. I'm like, let's do that. Because it's a warm audience. Because you're gonna have to go build a relationship with a CrossFit audience to get them to trust you, to bring you in. And you need to. You need to, like, practice and test everything at the warmest location possible. Just like, oh, why didn't I think about it? Sometimes you need someone to point out the obvious. Most of the time, like, it's obvious. It's just sitting right in front of you, but you don't see it. It's like, you're too smart. You're probably even smarter than me. I barely passed a gre, right? But I got to PT school. I went through PT school. I didn't have any trouble except with neuroanatomy because it was just all memorization, concepts and action, and using my hands, man. Identifying and uncovering your problems. I can do that all day long. So we got to know where you are, how many people you're seeing, what are you charging? How long have you been in business? How much time do you have with your family? How much time do you have for yourself working out? Are you able to work out daily? Are you able to go home and spend weekends with your family? Are you able to go on vacation with your family whenever you want? Are you able to pay down your loans? Do you still have to work PRN somewhere else? Right, because if you're working PRN somewhere else, you're wasting your time there. Because two patients a day in your own practice can cover a full day PRN somewhere else. So, you know, my biggest goals is making sure this thing runs, and I can just go take time off with my family. And one of the easiest ways for me to do that is to take them out of town, you know, because I'm not stuck in the house with all the things I think I need to be doing. And I'm not tempted to come over to the office and work. It's easier to go out of town. And last year we went out. I was out of town with my family, with either Andra or with the kids or with my dad, or all of us together. 81 days last year, in 2019. Isn't that incredible? So where are you? Okay, now what we need to understand is where do you want to go? What do you want to have happen? Let's say a year from now? How many patients do you want to be seeing? How much revenue do you want to be generating? How much time do you want to have for your family? Let's say you're one of those people that's really busy. You're like super busy. You're full. Like you might be in the stage where it's time to start firing yourself from your job. So now it's like, where do you want to go? Where do you want to be a year from now? How much time Revenue freedom? How much impact do you want to have a year from now? How much do you want to be generating revenue? Time, clients? How much do you want to be able to donate to charities? Then think about three years from now. Because if you don't know where you're going, you're never going to get there. All right? It's like you got a map but there is no destination. You got to have clarity on your destination. Now I just imagine it's PT Bizcon 2025 or even 2023, right? Looking back over those three years, what's happened in your life personally and professionally? If you feel happy with your progress and satisfied with your results? Right. Personal, like how much time with your family? Are you able to go on maternity leave without closing down your business? Are you able to go on a two week vacation to Greece or Bali? Business do you have? I have two employees. We're treating 60 patients a week. I'm treating nobody. I'm teaching on the weekends and running my online business and managing my clinic. Or maybe you're like, I'm just treating patients full time, but if you're in that I'm only going to treat patients full time stage, that's totally okay. But I want you to think about this. What happens when you want to retire? What happens when you need to move from one state to another? What do you do with your business? You just close it down. And if you do that, then it's like, what did you do? We should spend some time creating an asset that generates revenue so that you can sell it or have someone else Run it for you. Like what we're doing with Ben. He's getting ready to move to Iowa by the end of the year. By September, I believe we're going to take his clinic in Oakland and have it running on autopilot with another potential partner managing it. Boom. Like, I've got that with my clinic. Like, I could move to another state if I wanted to. I'm not because my kids are in school. So where do you want to go? Right? And be truthful, where do you want to be one year from now, three years from now, and even ten years from now? We got to think about that vision and work backwards. So now we know where you want to be in a year. What do you need to do in the next 30 days to start taking action to reaching that goal? What's one action step you're going to take? Thinking about it too hard is going to keep you right where you are. That's not a good alliteration for that. But just don't delay, take action. Don't be afraid to share. Because if I know these things from you, then I can help you uncover gobs of time and money and income and impact, and most importantly, impact. How do we help more people? How do we help more people? If you're always stressed and struggling to figure out, how am I going to pay off my loans? I've had people come in and programs and go, I just want to earn. Come into, like strategy goes, I just want to earn $4,000 a month. That's it. That's all you want to earn? Like as a PT, you don't want to earn six figures. It's $8,300 a month. Like 4,000. That's it. Or they just want to get out of a shitty job. So the gap isn't got to be big enough because you can get to 4,000amonth really quickly. Six patient, nine patient visits a week at what I'm charging, what Ben's charging is over six figures a year. Come up with your. With where you want to go, your goal, and put a zero behind it, because your gap might feel huge. And I'm sitting there looking at it like it looks huge from where you're standing, but all you got to do is take a step and you're going to land well over on the other side. So we got to give you a gap that you have to struggle a little bit to get to. And we also have to light a fire under you so you feel really uncomfortable. And a lot of times that fire is your why? Getting uncomfortable? Not earning enough now so you struggle a little bit and eat some dirt so that you can earn more later. You can't be underpriced and undervalued and still continue to serve people in the most effective and efficient way possible. Just imagine if you're that stressed, how effective can your treatments really be?
