Hi, I'm Aaron Marcus, and I've been a full-time actor and a commercial model for over 30 years, and I've booked over 1,200 jobs so far. And I just wanted to let you know, typically, you know, like years ago, I used to be able to tell you when jobs would be happening for me, when jobs wouldn't. Typically, August, things were pretty quiet. December, January, things were pretty quiet. Advertising agencies have already used up all of their funds for advertising. And normally at the end of January, February, things will start kicking in again. Honestly, in today's time period, it's kind of impossible to tell. And so I was finding that things were pretty slow at the beginning, middle of January. And so towards the end of January, beginning of February, I decided I want to be proactive. I work with a lot of agents in different markets. I don't like to just sit around and wait for projects to happen. I like to go after them and try to create them on my own. So here's something that I just did. I went through a list of photographers who I've worked with in the past, sent them a note just letting them know what I'm up to, some previous jobs that I've had, and just say, hey, I can't wait to work with you again in the near future. And so I did that with a bunch of photographers. I also did that with some agents, just wanted to stay in touch with you. Here's my latest headshot. In some ways, it doesn't even really matter so much what you say. It's just a matter of getting back in touch with them. Within 2 days after doing that, I got a booking. It was from a photographer who I had worked with in the past. Sent him a note, and he contacted me and said, hey, I just got this last-minute booking. You'd be perfect for it. Are you available? I said, yeah. I've just got a booking. What you want to do is stay in touch with people. Don't just sit around and wait for the phone to ring. Be proactive. And that's a great way to start getting more work. I hope you found this helpful. What I'm trying to do here is create a great acting and modeling family with people who are helping each other and sharing information. To me, that's a great way to do business and connect with other people in the industry. I'm Aaron Marcus, and I can't wait to talk with you again soon. See ya.
