Hey, I'm Aaron Marcus, and if you are watching this on my YouTube channel and you haven't done this yet, don't forget, click the subscription button and also the little bell, the notification button, and that way every time I upload a new video, you will be notified. So if you're anything like me, and I don't know what your situation is, but I've been spending a lot of time at home, and even though my days are incredibly busy, I've been doing a lot of and giving a lot of online workshops and also online private mentoring. I've also been spending a lot of time writing and just practicing and waiting for more auditions to be happening, although I've had a few auditions. I had one booking for an industrial film a couple of weeks ago, which was a very interesting experience, and you might have seen the posting that I did for that. Up on my YouTube channel. But in the evenings, when I'm done with work, I've been spending more time watching television, and both movies and television series. And I'll tell you, and I'm not embarrassed to say it, there are a lot of great shows on TV that I've really been enjoying a lot. And what's really amazing during this time period is things have just expanded so much, and you can really find pretty much anything that you want, whether it's educational, whether it's just to get your mind out of what's taking place during the day and you just want to escape. Whatever is, is right for you, it's there. And so you probably know about, you know, a lot of the regular streaming services or networks that you normally watch shows on, but I want to share with you 5 streaming services that are all free that you might or might not know about, and so I want to share it with you. So let's take a look at number one. There is a streaming service, it's called Hoopla, and you can either download it as an app or you can just go to hoopladigital.com. Feel free to, uh, take a screenshot of this, write it down, whatever you want, and you can do that with all 5 of these. They will be up long enough, you certainly can do that. There are no ads for Hoopla, but you need some type of library card in order to watch the streaming service, and you will find both movies as well as TV shows here. So that is number one. Number 2, you might have heard of IMDb. It stands for Internet Movie Database, and without getting into a whole long discussion about IMDb, it is a great place to go to get information about the industry. I pay to have a presence there. If you're just getting started and you really don't have much in the way of credits, I don't know if it's really worth your time to pay for it, but it is a place where people can go to and they can see the work that you've done. So at some point, yeah, it would definitely be a great place to pay for an annual subscription. It's also a wonderful place if you want to get information about the industry. So let's say you are auditioning for a television show. Well, you can go to imdb.com and you can look up the show. It will give you tons of information, producers, casting director, creators, all the actors, which will be really helpful for you to know before going into an audition. And the same thing if you're auditioning for a movie, you can look up a director. and get the names of movies that the director has done, and then you can always go to YouTube and get, you know, clips of those movies just to give you a better idea of the style of the director. Well, they also have a free streaming service, and once again, either you can get it as an app or just go to imdb.com/tv. This is an Amazon-owned free streamer, and you can see movies and TV shows there as well. Okay, let's take a look at number 3, Peacock. So once again, it's available through an app, Comcast cable if you use Comcast, or you can go to peacocktv.com. They have different tiers for Peacock, and some of them— well, one of them is free, or you can pay for the other tiers, and it's completely up to you. And but the basic tier is absolutely free. You will find There's about 13,000 hours of TV shows, which is pretty amazing. Just to let you know, there are TV commercials. So hey, look, sometimes it's really helpful to watch the TV commercials. You can learn from it, study the actors, see what is being done in there. So anyhow, just wanted to let you know about Peacock. And we've got 2 more. So this one is called Pluto TV, and it's an app, or just go to pluto.tv. This is owned by ViacomCBS, and it's a product that includes both on-demand movies as well as TV shows, and there are just dozens of live television channels, so you can jump around and either watch shows that you haven't seen for a while, or maybe you'll find some new programs that really interest you. So the very last free streaming service, it's called Vudu, and available through an app or vudu.com. This was formerly owned by Walmart, and it's now part of Comcast NBCUniversal. And there's a mixture of both movies and TV series there. So those are the 5 free streaming services I wanted to share with you. Just a couple other really quick things. Number one, I can tell you a couple of the shows that I have really been enjoying a lot. There was a Ricky Gervais show that I really loved. There was also Last Tango in Halifax. It was a show that I just finished up. There's some— there have been some great British shows. The only complaint that I have with some of the British shows is that, unlike in the US, they rarely have long series. A lot of times they might have 6 episodes and that's it. Then the actors go off and do other things. You know, in the US you've got shows that last, you know, 5 years, 10 years, and in the UK typically they are much shorter. Sometimes even if it is a couple of seasons, normally the seasons are much shorter, much fewer episodes in each one. Sometimes depending on the dialect, I might have to put on captions, especially if it's more Scottish. Sometimes it's just hard for me to understand everybody, but there are just some phenomenal shows that are— a lot of times they're on BBC or BBC America, but anyway, they're just Really, really good shows, and it's interesting to see some of the actors show up again and again in these programs. There, there are just a couple of really quick things. As you can hear, my cell phone's going off, but I'm with you guys. I'm not going anywhere. I want to finish this up. I'd love to hear what shows you've really been enjoying. So don't, don't forget, just leave a comment. Maybe you can share a show that I've never heard about that I'd like to check out. And other people as well. So please let me know about the show, where we can see it, and that'd be great. I'm always looking for other really interesting shows and well-acted shows. Just a couple other really quick things. If you haven't done this yet, just please make sure you do subscribe to the channel if you are watching this on YouTube. And if not, here's the link that will get you to YouTube. And click the little bell notification button. Just wanted to remind you about that. And also, you can follow me on Instagram. I use it almost exclusively for business. You're not going to see videos of, you know, what I'm eating for lunch and things like that. It's mostly— I put videos there every once in a while if I'm traveling, or at least when I used to travel back through February. Sometimes if there's an interesting place that I think would be helpful just to share some information, I'll do that. But anyhow, you can see the link. It's just Aaron, A-A-R-O-N, R Marcus, M-A-R-C-U-S. You can follow me there. And please share this information with others. Look, the whole reason for me of uploading so far 220 free acting and modeling quick tip videos is to, you know, share information with other people in the industry, try to help people in the industry. And would I— my goal is to build a large community of people helping each other. So, and just on a little bit of a side note, if, if, if you're really good at social media, let me know, because maybe we can work together. You can help me with some things, because I really want to get the word out to let people know this stuff exists. I just know that the videos will be incredibly helpful. Very last thing, if you can, I would greatly appreciate it if you'd like to make a donation and help support this channel. There is a PayPal link below. You can just scroll down once again if you're watching this on YouTube, and whatever is, is good for you. I greatly appreciate it, and I'd like to have you be more a part of the channel. So if you can, love to have you make a donation. If there's another topic that you want me to discuss, Please, you can go to my website, howtoactandmodel.com, and you can get to me there and share it with me. And if it's something that I can talk about and share with other people, more than happy to do that. So anyhow, just wanted to share these things with you. Be safe. Be happy, and I can't wait to talk with you again soon. See ya.
